i too just want to listen to the album for the first time in my room with headphones on... start to finish with no interruptions.
i've only listened to the singles a few times each. trying to keep everything fresh for when the album drops

I’m excited from what I’m hearing so far, but I’m a little concerned about it “being a hard listen.” I guess what I’m interpreting is a type of fatiguing, maybe similar to DM, not clipping, but high hat and heavy jamming the whole way through. However the excitement from what I’m hearing far outweighs this at least right now.

no such thing as a hard listen when it comes to metallica... maybe St Anger.. but we kind of knew that record was going to be an experience given what they had all just gone through.

Well, my main board account got a temporary nuke, so I'll come hang with you guys.
Still processing it obviously, but thus far my favorite track is definitely Shadows, followed by TFG. No spoilers, as I don't want to ruin anyone's experience (and I don't know how to use the tags here yet lol).
Overall, I think this may become my top album from them this century, and I never thought I'd say that after Lux and SS.

Room of Mirrors is one of the best tunes they've created in a long time. If they had extended the solo harmonies, it would have been one of their best songs.

Room of Mirrors is one of the best tunes they've created in a long time. If they had extended the solo harmonies, it would have been one of their best songs. I don't remember the last time I had such an animated reaction to a song as I just did to this. |

Definitely. And while AJFA will always be ny untouchable Emeritus pick from the albums, HW has been my favorite to go to since it was released, so that's really saying something. |
