The only thing i'd change about Repentless is the amount of slower/mid tempo songs, they are good tracks, i just wanted more thrash. Piano Wire, Chasing Death, and Repentless are too slow for you?

Flesh Storm > WPB > Disciple > Repentless Flesh Storm and Disciple are both great, not sure WPB is better than Repentless though.

"Flesh Storm" is the best opener since "War Ensemble". Flesh Storm is a fucking beast of a song, yeah. But nothing can beat Disciple. Disciple > Flesh Storm > World Painted Blood > Repentless All great songs, though.

Slayer's last 4 albums have all been decent imo (GHUA - REP), there's not alot of bands you can say that for.

GHUA is a top 3 album, losing only to Reign in Blood and Hell Awaits. In fact, it's "let's rate the Slayer albums" time! 1. Reign In Blood 2. Hell Awaits 3. God Hates Us All 4. Christ Illusion 5. Show No Mercy 6. World Painted Blood 7. South Of Heaven 8. Seasons In The Abyss 9. Repentless 10. Divine Intervention 11. Diabolus In Musica Not counting Undisputed Attitude, although I must say, it does have some fun songs.

I'm truly surprised by the lack of appreciation for GHUA.

I'm truly surprised by the lack of appreciation for GHUA. Really? I usually always see it mentioned as one of their worst albums whenever people discuss Slayer.

I think GHUA got wrongly categorised as nu metal due to the downtuned guitars. It's a beast of an album.

GHUA is to Slayer as St Anger is to Metallica. Still kind of sounds like the band, but a little to experimental for my liking in a negative way.

A band almost without dynamics.
Love Reign in Blood though.

What are Slayer's most melodic songs? I mean songs that aren't filled with only screaming vocals.
Songs that I've heard so far that I like and that is my kind of Slayer: Seasons in the abyss, Metal storm / Face the slayer, Postmortem and Crionics.

Gemini, for sure is up there. Beauty Through Order also comes to mind.
What about Dead Skin Mask and South of Heaven?

It's probably worth giving the whole of Show No Mercy a listen, it's their most melodic album.
Other songs:
Mandatory Suicide (their best song) At Dawn They Sleep Behind the Crooked Cross Dissident Aggressor (Judas Priest cover) Spill the Blood Blood Red Expendable Youth Skeletons of Society Bloodline World Painted Blood

The Haunting the Chapel version of Aggressive Perfector is worth a mention when it comes to melodic Slayer. Some others (ditto the ones already mentioned): Serenity in Murder Desire Overt Enemy Screaming from the Sky Cast Down Deviance When the Stillness Comes

Kerry's just jealous because LB probably made more money in that little chunk of time then Kerry has his whole career.
