Here's a Discipleless top 30 for Jayzon (chronological order): 1-3. The Antichrist, Die By the Sword, Black Magic 4-5. Chemical Warfare, Captor of Sin 6-8. Hell Awaits, Kill Again, Necrophiliac 9-14. Angel of Death, Piece By Piece, Necrophobic, Altar of Sacrifice, Postmortem, Raining Blood 15-19. South of Heaven, Silent Scream, Behind the Crooked Cross, Mandatory Suicide, Ghosts of War 20-24. War Ensemble, Blood Red, Spirit in Black, Hallowed Point, Seasons in the Abyss 25-26. Fictional Reality, Circle of Beliefs 27. Bitter Peace 28. New Faith 29-32. Flesh Storm, Catalyst, Consfearacy, Cult 33. World Painted Blood Got a few more than 30. Was probably a bit conservative with some of the older material too. I feel I should mention here that I think "Disciple" is a great song.

The production is great. Can you imagine if WPB had the production of Repentless? My top 3 Slayer songs: Disciple Dead Skin Mask Spill The Blood

If somebody said this in the earlier pages in this post, then I apologize in advance for echoing your sentiments. I don't think they're the same w/o Hanneman as Jeff was, as far as I'm concerned..the main driving force musically in that band since their inception in '81. I miss Dave Lombardo on the drums, he's a superb drummer and for me, heavy metal/thrash's best drummer. Frankly I'm surprised they've carried on after Jeff's passing. Oh, and my fave Slayer song is the title track to the album, 'Seasons In The Abyss' with 'War Ensemble' right up there too.

Yeah, I saw Slayer a few summers back and it felt really weird, almost dirty if that makes sense. I'm really glad I got to see them a bunch of times since the 90s with Jeff and both Dave and Paul on drums.
I guess they needed to make some cash to fix that whole scam fiasco and probably don't know how to do much else.

Piano Wire on the new album is pretty cool, it was written by Jeff and has a real Divine Intervention feel to it.

Repentless is a great album, Holt will never replace Hanneman, but he is good, ain't he?

Yes Slayer was better with Hanneman and Lombardo, Im glad that I saw them in 2007 and it was brutal. Repentless isn't so bad album actually, I've been listening to it while working out and it gives a great pump

What's up with people spitting at Slayer? At Kerry I get it, but Tom is one of the nicest guys ever.

The title track to Repentless is freaking smoking, one of their best album openers.

The title track to Repentless is freaking smoking, one of their best album openers. I thought it was one of the weaker tracks on the album. Also the power of it is kind of ruined by how Delusions of Saviour goes on for too long. They did the same thing back on God Hates Us All and I think it was a dumb move on both albums.

WPB is still the best modern slayer opener.

WPB is still the best modern slayer opener. What's modern? Like, 2000 onwards? Because Darkness Of Christ/Disciple would like a word with you.

"Flesh Storm" is the best opener since "War Ensemble".

The only thing i'd change about Repentless is the amount of slower/mid tempo songs, they are good tracks, i just wanted more thrash.
