The Sword - Used Future
Less heavy than their other albums but I liked it.

Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence I enjoyed this way more than I did back in the day. Decent album.
My Morning Jacket - It Still Moves This album and Z are definitely my favourites from what I've heard of this band. As much as I enjoy the later albums, I love the vibe of the earlier material.
Paul Dempsey - Strange Loop This one took a while to grow on me but now I love it. Really well-composed, great lyrics, and engaging vocal melodies.

I still love Pale Communion. I never really stopped listening to it while Sorceress went up on the shelf

Yob - Our Raw Heart Metal album of the year so far imo. I found that album a bit boring. But then I feel that way about most doom metal lol.

woke up at 2am this morning and I couldn't get back to sleep so I listened to the 3rd disc of ELVIS's ' The Gospel Masters' The Killers ' Day & Age' I've been listening to some Celine Dion as I'll be seeing her live on August 4th. if you'd of told me 20 years ago, or even 10 years ago that I would buy tickets for a Celine Dion concert. I've would've told you (in the voice of the dad from The Castle) ' tell him he's dreamin' ^ the note at ~3:20 this woman has great pipes. I think they used this song in 'Bridget Jones Diary'? I have the live cd 'CELINE Taking Chances World Tour' it was recorded in 2008. I also got myself a 2CD called 'MY LOVE Ultimate Essential Collection' < so it's not only Ultimate but Essential I think it's funny how they come up with these compilation titles like that. but I've been really enjoying her music so it really must be the end of the world LOL

I'm listening to Paul Gilbert's 2012 album 'Vibrato'. I haven't listened to it in ages.

Deceased - Ghostly White
It's not an album I would check if it weren't for a review I read. And I'm really impressed. It is very good. Though it is not a 'metal' type I can listen to every day. But it might even be the best metal album for 2018 for some people. This is an album I would best describe as early Mastodon meets Vektor (I'm talking about the thrash metal band).

Slayer - WPB Still a kickass album. It's a fine album, I guess. Better than South of Heaven or Seasons in the Abyss for sure, but not nearly as good as God Hates Us All and Christ Illusion.

Gentle Giant - s/t :Brilliant, iconic in the prog world. Gotta love the artwork too. Gentle Giant - The Power and the Glory : Fantastic album. I think I like this better than the self titled.
Blind Guardian - Live beyond the spheres: I LOVE Blind Guardian. So it is always fun to listen to them for me. It's a lovely live album.
Saxon - Thunderbold: For some reason, Saxon do not get the recognition they deserve. They have been as relevant as Iron Maiden back in the day, and influenced many bands. Great classic heavy metal overall.
Dream Theater- s/t: My friends know that I'm a massive DT fan. But this album does not click with me at all. I love the intro and Illumination Theory. But the rest of the album falls short of what I expect from DT. Also the drum sound is crap. Just check Mangini's performance for the enemy inside. It sounds much better. It is actually a decent song and there are some cool stuff on the album for sure. It just does not impress me at all for the most part.
