Sleepwalk My Life Away sounds awesome live.
Hetfield is so into this. Live performance definately increased its value.
But I would be irritated as hell if these people stand there and just do nothing but take my photos and videos.

you guys heard Lars' kids band Taipei Houston? Lane and Miles currently touring Europe and have an album out. Yep, I like it a lot. Very promising young band, can't wait to hear more. Reminds me of Queens of the Foo Manchu. |

Lane said in an interview that they are open to adding other musicians to their band.
They said that they're "just two reclusive guys who didn't really know anyone else."
They're hoping as they get more exposure and meet more people via touring that they'll
find the right people to bring into the fold.
given that they come from a famous family they're probably a bit wary
of just bringing anyone into their band.

This is from the Hardwired era, but Greg always gives the most in depth reviews out of anyone in the Metallica camp. open.spotify.com/episode/6WbRX2DLSj4iScDTllSu17I'm only partway through, but some interesting tidbits include a more detailed layout of the recording progress and timeline; they did 4 sessions of 3 songs, plus the Hardwired (the song) session. But they also did overdubs post-Hardwired, including the NTWD vocals and Spit vocals & bass. I always noticed some parts of the NTWD vocals were different in the making of videos, and there wasn't footage of how the final vocal lines sounded in the verses. That must be why. |

After the rehab, after losing weight, I think James Hetfield managed to become the charismatic metal icon once again.

After the rehab, after losing weight, I think James Hetfield managed to become the charismatic metal icon once again. I really really hope I would look that good and charismatic at his age. Really. I sort of agree but I worry about his recent love for cigars. He's seen smoking at every show. But hey, as long as he's happy. |
