Are we going to break the record for amount of people online at once when this album comes out? Current record is from when Hardwired came out!

We certainly don't know much about Het's personal life but I can't help but feel bad for Francesca for sticking up for James all these years and putting up with his irrational behavior only to be being given the boot at the end

This is why James don’t do M&G’s anymore. If he’s happy then good for him and his family

I just figured that it'll be a long time till we get a St. Anger and Death Magnetic deluxe box set. I'll be old by that time.

Then Garage, Inc. in late 2024. If we get lucky, St. Anger in late 2025/ early 2026? Is S&M supposed to get a deluxe box set treatment too?

I can’t see them pushing any other products besides 72 Seasons this year, but next year for the 2024 tour could make sense. S&M2 isn’t included but Garage Inc is.

Metclub Dan said that they haven't started the Load boxset yet. They were gearing up to but then Metallica decided to write a new album which took priority and the boxest was put on hold. So any hope that the Load box comes out within the next 2 years is pretty much gone.

Maybe it was Francesca that decided to end it all... We must remember James was really in a bad place before S&M2, got back to heavy drinking and stuff. And now their kids are older and can cope better with the divorce, so staying together just for the sake of the children was no longer necessary. Maybe Francesca finally got tired of James and decided do move on and look for something better for her. And so did James.

I think it was put out there that James was the one that filed for divorce but yeah, even that doesnt tell the whole (private) story.

Am I the only one here that actually really likes Some Kind Monster documentary as a documantary? I thought that was an interesting documentary, both for the weaker aspects of the band - and the movie - and for its positive aspects.

I think I may dig it out of the closet and give it another read. I haven't read it in a good 10-15 years. I'm due.

A must read. You get 500x more insight into what really happened during the filming of the movie. You get Metallica and crew real time experience of 9/11, More into the Dave Mustaine stuff, auditions for bass players, and so much more cool and interesting stuff. Metallica: This Monster Lives is a 2004 book written by Joe Berlinger and Greg Milner about how Berlinger recorded the feature-length film Metallica: Some Kind of Monster in collaboration with Metallica. The book follows the journey both he, his film partner Bruce Sinofsky, and Metallica went through during the creation of the film. The book takes place at the time when Berlinger and Sinofsky first met with Metallica in 1999 for the 2003 Summer Sanitarium Tour. Berlinger and Sinofsky's relationship was troubled, exacerbated by Berlinger's decision to direct the unpopular sequel to Blair Witch. At the start of filming, the relationship between the band members, especially between vocalist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, is in a similarly perilous position after bassist Jason Newsted quit the band and the long-standing disputes between the remaining members threaten to escalate.

I'm glad they chose a new album over more 2020 versions of songs, but I would love to hear that theoretical TDTNC acoustic take one day at a Helping Hands show.

I'm glad they chose a new album over more 2020 versions of songs, but I would love to hear that theoretical TDTNC acoustic take one day at a Helping Hands show. TDTNC is probably one of the easiest songs to convert into an acoustic version, and the chorus would sound so big with strumming guitars and some slide guitar in there. The ending could be shortened and figured out. I do hope we get that one day.
