When this tribute album dropped back in the day...many things got broken...

If Setlist.fm isn’t lying, they played Dirty Window tonight!! Outside of the anni shows in 2021 and 2011 it’s the first one since 2004. That’s dope, good job boys

We're at a point now where St. Anger is getting more play than Death Magnetic.

Speaking of rarities, they also played No Remorse a couple shows ago. I thought that's been in rotation, but apparently it was the 4th performance since they played the album in full in 2013. Which feels so wrong. I have decent hopes about the set variety for Europe this summer now.

I don't know but is Lars on fire this tour? I mean it's faster than studio tempo but in a good way like in the 80s.

He doesn't sound well.
Is everything OK with James?

It seems like he's doing great mentally. Being very vocal and open about your bad days is a sign of good progress, not hiding it.

I'm not sure he should say it out loud at a concert though. Yeah the hardcore fans will probably appreciate it, or feel for him, but lets be honest, a big portion of that crowd is just there for the beers and the music.
I haven't seen the vid btw

I thought things were not right during S&M2, Hetfield looks old and tired. They might need a long hiatus.

It's not only James, Dave Mustaine looks clapped too, and Araya has already retired.

Yeah the hardcore fans will probably appreciate it, or feel for him, but lets be honest, a big portion of that crowd is just there for the beers and the music. I haven't seen the vid btw I partially disagree. First, it wasn't a festival, so there was no other major bands playing full setlists. Second, the ticket prices in Brazil makes almost impossible for someone to go to a Metallica show just for the beer and "the vibe". And, we all have to admit, it has been at least 2 decades since Metallica was a "trendy" band. At least here in Brazil. So, I believe that the great majority of people who went to the show were indeed fans, or at least were accompanying a "true" fan of the band (if such thing even exists). It's kinda sad, because nowadays it's just too expensive to buy a ticket for some random show in order to get to know a new band like that.

I haven't seen the vid btw Getting something out of your system often works. For you and for the other person who may be feeling that way and can connect and know they are not the only ones in that situation. I've read some concerns in the official forum that James may be in need of help, but I feel that the whole sequence shows that he does have it in his bandmembers and that he will reach out in case he needs it. I actually felt positive about James. Hope I'm not worng, though.

I think everyone is over analysing a couple sentences of stage banter before, of all songs, Sad but True.
Reminds me of the show back on the Hardwired tour when James did the whole " We don't care about the color of your skin or who you voted for ..." And all the press went nuts because of what just happened in the USA, people then pointed out that James had been saying that before the song at every show that tour and it had nothing to do with current hostile events.

Maybe, hopefully...but I did see that someone there said he was tearing up before the show and during Fade. Who knows. Like I said to a mate, just a bad day, we all have them right?

I went to the São Paulo show and literally left the arena talking to my friends about how happy James seemed to be.
To put it in perspective, it was my 5th Metallica show, and the one I've stand closer to the stage, so I can fairly compare it to the other Metallica shows I went through time.
In fact, I was kinda shocked about this whole story of him crying on stage, just two days after the São Paulo show. Maybe everyone is overeating a bit about it.
