There are decent sections but overall the song doesn't work. The lyrics and the main riff are pretty stock, it doesn't surprise me that the solo is average. Still not as bad as ManUNkind though.  |

I cranked up Spit out the Bone the other day, it had been a while, and damn, that song is so amazing for Metallica to churn out in the year 2016. Like, holy shit, that song is beyond awesome. Definitely one of the best Metallica songs ever. Better than a lot of the classic stuff as well.
In my perfect world it would have been like this;

Well, to be fair, "Best Rock Album" includes heavy metal, along with rock and hard rock. But "Best Rock Song" is a headscratcher, seeing how there's also a metal song category. Or is it "performance", I don't even know.
