You're talking about Murder One, not ManUNkind. MurderUNkind actually. MurderONEkind.

Can you believe its almost a year that we have Hardwired. Crazy. Only 7 years to go until the next album.
NTWD and Murder One still the worst IMO.
I think when Murder One gets its live debut... We'll all have a good laugh and not care.

I know this is blasphemous but I might prefer HW over Spit Out the Bone as a song. It's marginal though.

Like the mid tempo groove of this album, reminiscent of the Load era.

The more I listen to Halo the better it gets, and I already thought it was fucking awesome anyway.
It's an absolute classic and pretty incredible they produced that in 2016 after all these years.

I'm still thoroughly enjoying HWTSD; however, did any of them mention plans for another album, or could this be their last?

Still I'm very skeptical to whatever any of them says. Actually no, let me correct myself: I'm skeptical to whatever Het or Lars say and I ignore whatever Kirk and Rob say.

I do believe them when they say it won't take 8 years again, but it's still going to be a while.

1 year down, 7 to go? I hope not, unless they slip garage 3 in there somewhere to tide us over.

Optimistically they're going to be an active band till around 2025. Hardwired era is going last until late 2019 maybe 2020. If they want to make the last album with original music I don't see the time for another record with covers. They had enough side projects between 2011-2014.
Fuck If they hadn't been screwing around in those years we would have had hardwired in 2013 :|

Yeah, but it'd be a bunch of Lords of Summers probably.

Why? Allegedly the riff tapes used in hardwired were from DM tour. It's pure speculation about things that cannot be proven but I think that the process would have looked pretty similar. Only they would have stared 3 years earlier. Plus writing of LOS preceded the begining of HTSD by only couple of months. Perhaps they would have used some of the lulu riffs. To this day I think that the music they wrote for 'junior dad' would make a killer Metallica ballad in the vein of 'bleeding me'.

I love that song so much, even with Lou.

I think the guys can go till they are 60... that's 2023. I saw David Bowie live when he was 57 and he was brilliant. they guys may be a bit more worn at that age but maybe they could do less concerts. like now they only do 2 weeks touring, then 2 weeks off. feck I miss David Bowie. wish the guys had done an album with him.

Do the 2 1/2 hour sets affect their longevity? They've had a tough run. Can you see them making new music at 60? I hope we can still new stuff for a while, even if it means them taking a different approach.

I feel like with a bit shorter sets and a mandatory instrumental halfway through they can be touring into their late 60s. As for a new album, I'd be willing to bet we get 12 Metallica albums in total by the time they retire.

I was hoping he survived the set the entire concert, lol.

Lars is for sure the glue at the moment. He's definitely got the hardest part to play in this next decade. Kirk can loose it anytime as well. Rob and James I have no doubt could keep on going for a really long time.

James' vocals are going to become a problem. They already are. We'll see if Lars ever realizes that he should practice more, and WEIGHT TRAIN. Motherfucker looks boiled chicken. It's like, Lars, look at Rob, and look at you. And Rob just plays the bass. Lars is 100+millionaire, meanwhile, this drummer probably lives with his mom.

I'd rather listen to any competent drummer period. The example is irrelevant. I could post anything other than Lars, and the point would be made. Listening to Metallica today requires fan goggles. I've got mine on. I'm just not kidding myself.
Highest earning drummer in the business, and the worst drummer for a good 10+ years. And he really is. That I've seen anyway.
