HR hasn't dropped in to give some arbitrary views so I'll take his place:
Listened to Hardwired then DM today one after the other. Mannnnnn really fucking great albums...my appreciation for DM has gone up too.
Probably because I was working so wasn't focused entirely on the music, but I felt like I finally "got" Cyanide....and Savage finally sounded pretty good.

Fun really is the right word, it's much more bouncy and groovy than Hardwired. Sounds happier too. I love them both about equally I think, I just wish DM sounded as good as HW. |

NTWD is definitely the most "pop" sounding song on the album. Not my top track, or even close, but I look forward to seeing it live this summer if it makes the MTL set list. It's really catchy, I just hope they have ditched the drum off by the time the come here.

The lack of love for Murder One still shocks me. Great vocal melody, I love how the verse riff kicks in while Lars is on the crash....the chorus is really catchy, that melody sticks in my head for days.
DM's fun and bouncy nature is now what makes it great for me but initially it was what held it back. Funny how it needed one more album to follow it to then put it into context
