Meh. I knew they would ruin it vocally, god damn. They don't play the intro because Lars would struggle with those snare rolls, just listen to how much they slow it down before the solo. Just like the day outro. Lars threw Kirk way of several times during his solo, but that tends to happen on the faster songs. Weird decision to keep the drums in the wah solo break too. I didn't hate it but I knew I would be disappointed if they fucked the vocals.

Well. Judging by that this wont work live. Just like My Apocalypse and The Judas Kiss.
Lars clearly the weak spot

Not sure why James doesn't just sing the whole verse. Rob is great when he sings WITH James (like in the chorus), but alone he stands out in a weak way.

He sounds like he's crying on some of those those longer lines.

I like when James does shit live that he would never do on a record, then it kind of annoys me that he won't do it on a record.

Yeah much better than my initial thoughts, Rob was quite alright and the sound was brutal. Lars over simplified the song, I just have to accept that like I have with all the other fast songs.

I knew he would. The rest was pretty good, and Rob will only get better. You can tell he has been working on his vocals, so I'm not worried about it at all. Works way better live than I thought it would.

Rob is alright for the shorter vocal passages were he can Spit the lyrics. The longer ones sounds like he has a potato in his mouth.

Pretty sure Moderus and I both lost a bet with each other. Or both just lost altogether. That was awful.

Not hating but Rob's vocals lol...really bad. James should've sung the whole thing.
Other than that, decent.

Not horrible but not great either. I think it'll get tighter but overall it's definitely not going to be anything more than pulled out every so often to appease the fans for the next year or two (like what they did with Dyers Eve). Rob's backing vocals were also not bad at all, I firmly believe he's been working his ass off to get where he is right now. I despised his vocals a few years ago but he's really stepped up his game.
Sort of related, but what song(s) from HW does everyone think will stick around past this tour? I remember with DM I was convinced that Cyanide was going to be a semi-regular, but Day has been played a lot more in the last few years. But from this album I really can't even imagine them doing away with Moth for awhile. Maybe Halo as well, but it is a bit demanding vocally.

I could see Moth sticking around, and maybe Hardwired for the thrash spot every once in a while. Not sure about the others.

Not sure why James doesn't just sing the whole verse. I've always assumed it's because he needs to save his voice since I guess it's a demanding song for him vocally.

Kirk seems to have massive problems with staying in time during the solos. He's all over the fucking place...
