Its an OK song, I always liked Killing Time much more out of the 2 though.
Yes, the machine does seem to be slowing down, but, I think when they look at the calendar now, and see how many shows they have left, plus knowing it doesn't end there because more dates will most likely be added, they are just playing it smart and conserving their energy. Because yes, they are getting old and time slips away fast.

And yeah, it's a shame these guys are finally starting to slow down. It's gonna be a sad day when they hang it up for good.
As much as we say it sucks they aren't very energetic in some of these performances, I'm still grateful they are still playing shows and bringing out some of these songs. Not to mention, Hetfield's vocals are still better than they were on the DM tour, so that's something.

Getting old probably has a lot to do with it. Plus, they have got to be sick to the back teeth of playing some of these songs themselves. I'd imagine making Sandman or Seek sound new or fresh or inspired 36 years in is tough.

All that is to say, I had no idea how lackluster the performances had become until I browsed this thread. Are you guys cherry picking the turds here, or is this them now? Which performances did you check out? A lot of the ones in this thread, plus I was inspired to go watch some Worldwired stuff. I'd agree they seem a little bored at times. They do seem to come alive more when playing Hardwired tunes though, and the audiences are singing along with them, so that's something good. |

Other than the mistakes at the beginning I think it's a good debut of a difficult song.
I'm glad they didn't edit out the mistakes like they were doing on the US tour.

It does, especially since James doesn't do M&Gs anymore and there is no way I'm gonna pay for the Hardwired Experience because I don't support them doing that and I don't have the money either.
