1:36 Did someone throw some kind of liquid at James? Hahaha, his face after.
After the verse is over it looks like he looked at someone and said "Fuck you".

Watching these vids the new cube things seem really annoying to me. The images on them aren't related to the song they are playing so they show shit like the written lyrics to Damage Inc or the cover of St. Anger while they are playing FFWF.
They seem random and all over the place in terms of both content and location. They seem kinda in the way.
Maybe they're cool in person?

I think I have to share some personal stuff with my fellow Met friends here because I know you will understand. I'm not really the kind of person that talks about stuff like this but I feel like it's worth it in this case. As some of you know one of my best mates left this world way to early shortly after HW was released. He wasn't a huge Metallica fan but he really liked a lot of their music and we've shared some amazing concerts with other bands. The last song we ever heard together was Halo, the last message I ever received from him was "Halo is such an amazing song", later that night he passed away. Needless to say that song in particular has a special meaning to me, and when they played in Denmark in February I was a little nervous about how I would cope with hearing it live. We didn't get it in either of those shows and since I have dealt with my sorrow and learned to live without him in my life. They played Halo tonight... James did his "new" intro and I was just really excited to hear a new song, my mind didn't go anywhere and I wasn't expecting to be sad or anything like that. When Lars counted the song in and they started it, 5 seconds later tears were pouring out of my eyes. It felt like 10 months of bottled up emotions just poured out of me, I cried heavily through the entire song. All my mates knew what was up, and they all hugged me loads when the song ended. What a crazy experience.
Oh well, I feel like a poofta for telling stuff like that and I'm not comfortable with it at all, but a part of of me feels like it was a beautiful thing in it's own weird way. Music really is something else.
I'll be going to bed now, take care everybody.

Good lord Kirk. He just took 2 bars out of the solo and let the rest of the band play catch up.
I honestly think the dude is losing it a bit. The mistakes he's making nowadays aren't things that you just don't notice/can't recover from.

I'm at the point where Kirk not being in Metallica wouldn't bother me anymore, sadly.

Yeah it's kinda getting to that point. It's like he's not even the same guitarist that played on the Black album or those awesome early 90's shows.
But hey at least his guitar was in tune in these videos, that's something, right?

I'm at the point where Kirk not being in Metallica wouldn't bother me anymore, sadly. It would make me sad and probably devastate him, but man he has been straight up horrible lately. Guitars always out of tune, he's way off tempo, missing parts of solos, etc. It's sad, I love the guy but something obviously isn't right. I hope he's doing okay and isn't struggling with health issues.

Everybody around me said he looked very unhealthy, I feel really sad for him, something is definitely up I didn't see him smiley once. He came off to a bad start too, clearly had monitor problems in the first 2 songs.

Basically every media in Denmark is roasting the show, even regular reviewers are saying how badly they played together. And yes, every person ever hates that stupid drum thingy, it's even more embarrassing to see in person.

But then again, they are changing some things so it might take some time to get running on all cylinders again.

It didn't feel sloppy like they do at times, like when they are on auto pilot, it just felt... Dunno how to say it, different. I'm probably reading way too much into this, but it kinda felt like they had had a big argument inside the band just before they entered the stage. Not much smiling was going on, they really didn't seemed to be enjoying it much. Maybe it was the different setlist, the new stage or something that made them maybe more focused on not fucking up (didn't work if so) but the vibe was a lot different than in February. The end of the show was much better in that regard, lots of smiles and happy faces, they also played better at that point I thought.

Nice thanks! Glad James is singing the chorus this time! Love this song. I hate people recording full songs at a show but it's pretty cool afterwards :P Btw that Kirk divebomb in the end sounded really fucking cool at the show

Hmmm. Maybe they are just worn out?

There were a few new intros, liked all of them I think.
Oh and btw the sound was amazing, just massive and it seems like they finally found the distortion knob on their amps. The alt picking riff in Day sounded MASSIVE and the tone gave me a massive boner

Did you and jokk1 meet up? Nah he was busy banging some trannie at the nearest brothel. Cellular reception unfortunately is shit inside the arena :( I met up with 4 guys from Sweden whom I had met at the last show. Was the highlight of the day really, such cool, funny and insane dudes. Just a bunch of really great people :)

Next time, Kimbo, next time. Yeah, the cellphone reception is terrible inside the arena. What side were you on? We were right in front of the mic where James keeps his guitars.
My friend and I just saw Hetfield. He cruised passed us in a boat, and we got up and followed the boat for a while and he gave us the horns up. That was pretty cool.

Haha awesome :) I saw a great vid of him earlier this week where he walked around in the center of cph in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, eating a hot dog and looking like a complete redneck He really doesn't give a shit. The two metal reviewers in DK gave the show 5 & 6 stars stating that it was the best concert on Danish soil in 15 years. Everybody I have talked to absolutely loved it.

Honestly wouldn't have noticed any fuck up in the "Day" solo had it not been pointed out. Just like I never noticed that the "Straw" solo had been cut when they played it somewhat recently either. Clearly not as clued up on some of their songs as I thought.

I've seen a lot of comments about how sickly Kirk looks up close on other forums as well. The weird thing is his band members and everyone else around the whole situation seem to be more annoyed/angry with him then concerned...which makes me think his ailments might have something to do with drugs or something similar.
