From the website:
"Let’s see what surprises Amsterdam might bring, shall we?"
Can't wait to see what changes they make to the set and anything else.

I love arena tours. Hoping Dream has a permanent spot. It's becoming one of my favorite Metallica songs, and is one of their best live songs right now.
I hope they bring this set up to the US. Time will tell!

Time will tell! I don't. Permanent songs in setlists can completely ruin their energy and atmosphere. Hearing/seeing Dream live is much more exciting if it isn't played that often. My hope is that more songs get into rotation, Leper, Straw, Disposable, Cyanide, etc.... and much less Bells/Roam/Unforgiven. I'd also love to see the new songs rotating, eg Confusion, Revenge, Dream, Murder, Lords, SOTB instead of Dead/Halo/Moth at every show. It sucks how predictable their shows have become over the last 12 months, and it looks like they're starting to mix it up in arenas but still not as much as they did on the DM tour. And I would pay an extra $20 for them not to open with Hardwired when I eventually see them on this tour but I don't like my chances.

During the DM tour they had like 4 new songs that were staples with additional 2 that were rotating. Life/Line/BBS/Day usually were played every time even in cities that had double show and Cyanide/Nightmare were rotated with Judas/Apocalypse. For the most part. Last night they played 6 new songs. That's one more than the NA tour had. I'm gonna guess that Hardwired, Atlas, Dead and Moth are going to be staples. The 2 additional slots will get rotated. Probably Halo and Dream will get the most love but they should mix it up with Confusion, Bone, Revenge etc. from time to time. Again, that is my guess.

I agree, but I'm just a sucker for Dream. :( Bias is coming through on this one.

Hm, what it's really long song from the album could replace it? Ah nevermind, it won't happen. At least not yet.

Again, that is my guess.
I'm guessing that they will eventually premiere it, so it will automatically get into rotation.

That crowd man...wow. You know if I had the intention to go to a concert like Taylor Swift or something and not know every single song, I would a least have the courtesy to show some enjoyment or even movement, or else why bother going? You're seeing live music, it's your opportunity to let loose and escape reality for 2 and a half hours. I'm a pretty reserved person, but if I'm at a concert I enjoy myself. I don't know, to each their own, but its weird to see people just sit there. I saw Black Sabbath last summer and you bet your ass I imitated Ozzy's mannerisms like a motherfucker because it's a metal concert.
Also, those cubes have to go. I wasn't even anywhere near that concert and they annoy me.

I've been watching the interactions with the band members with Kirk for awhile now. At different times I get vibes that he is being tolerated. Other times I feel he is ignored. I watch him look uncomfortable almost like he is trying to fit in where he should be very comfortable. Even if he appears to be enjoying himself, he looks like he is doing it alone. I swear I get this feeling that James is borderline rude to him and if thats due to some intolerance of a possible issue with Kirk and drugs then I would find that hard to accept based on what Kirk and Lars went through with JH's rehab period. Kirk might be feeling locked in to this gig and trapped. He's been doing it for a long time and has the funds and options to do anything else he chooses but perhaps feels he can't leave simply because he's part of the Machine and to break himself away from that might create a hole in his life he's not sure he could satisfactorily refill. Some of the tuning room footage is where I notice the awkward interaction between Kirk and the others. You can get the feeling that everyone can be relaxed and jokey when James is, but if James has the serious face on then everyone must step up to that same level, and Kirk often looks lost in there just looking for the fun it used to be.
I feel sorry for him but will never find out whats wrong. I doubt he shares it with anyone except for maybe some close non-metallica-circle friends and his wife. And he doesn't seem to have the option of asking the band to give him any time he might need. Instead he looks like he always need to be ready for when he is summonsed.

I don't know man, I've watched almost every tuning room video from NA tour and I think that the most small talks and joking was between him and James.

Man, when I started watching the tuning rooms videos from this last tour, I thought it came across as Kirk trying to make jokes and pretend everything is fine, and the rest of the band completely ignore him every time. The only time James will acknowledge Kirk, is if James makes a joke, and Kirk responds to it, they'll each have a laugh then Kirk will keep talking/joking and James will just start playing guitar and ignore him. I don't think it can be said we're reading too much into it, when it's plain as day that something has been going on with Kirk over the last ~12 months, that's severely impacted his guitar playing ability, his place within the band, and his contribution to the new album. Also, I hate to say it, but his overall appearance has changed dramatically in the same time period...he looks super thin, gaunt almost and incredibly tired and haggard. I hate the "celebrity gossip" part of following bands, discussing appearance, speculating about drug habits, basically anything of a personal nature etc...but it's hard to ignore in this case - something is definitely going on with Kirk.

It's fine for us to do this though, because we all want to see the dudes looking like they are healthy and having a good time. It's all out of love.
But something clearly isn't right.

When I saw Kirk a foot away from me in July, he looked like a wax figure, a very sweaty wax figure. It was strange. I hope everything smooths out, but these are weird times. I can see him asking/demanding for support and time off to get his shit together, and getting outright denied by management and the band. He is not James and he is "expendable". If he is going through some drug shit, I'm sure the guys tolerate it but he is walking on a thin line and knows it.
Oh well, we will see what tonight and the next run of shows brings.

I'm sorry I have to ask this. Do you guys enjoy James' higher pitch voice? For example "Light it up, aahh light it up" part, for me it is very hard to listen to.
