Damn, that intro thing into Unforgiven is pretty sweet! I have never heard it live, is it a new thing? Very new, They've just used it the past few shows so far. I love it.

I've always wondered how gentle band security treats people who run onto stage.

I've always wondered how gentle band security treats people who run onto stage. They don't wanna get sued. They want to use just enough force to get him off the stage and out of the venue....they're not tryin to bash his head in or anything just for humping *(typo and it stays)* on stage.

I've always wondered how gentle band security treats people who run onto stage. I'm sure it depends on the band security, what type of artist it is and how the stage invader acts. Morrissey for example have stage invaders more or less every show (who mostly come up to him to hug, greet or sometimes kiss him) and I think they mostly get treated in a nice way 'cause Morrissey himself encourages it or at least is fine with it. I know there has been security people at some of his shows that have been aggressive though but he doesn't seem to like that at all.

The Unforgiven as a whole was one of my favorites from the show but that definitely made it better. I loved that way more than the tape of the intro. I was never too keen on when they started using that in 2012, so that was a nice change of pace.

At least he just wanted to have fun up there for a few seconds. Edit: Also am I just being annoying as hell for no reason, or am I missing the multi-quote button?

I just got my ticket for the Dallas show!
For anybody that has seen them so far on the tour, at what time did Metallica take the stage? 9PM? 10PM?

How does it sound ? And what YT account is that ?

It sounds terrible (as in the mix), and no idea what the YT is. I'm pretty sure they've stopped making Tuning Room videos for us plebs and only make them available to ticket holders.
It sucks but at least we'll get new performances of Fade, Fuel and Bells every 4-6 weeks for the next 2 years so we should be grateful. :)

Oh for fuck sake, please make your research before making those assumptions. The link to FULL tuning room live stream is available for everyone to watch just before almost every show nowadays. And yes, it is full 20-30 minutes tuning room stream from the beginning where its usually just Rob practicing bass waiting for the others to arrive to the last seconds of them practicing Hardwired, full of chitchats, making fun of screw ups that they made previous night and James's laughing at Kirk's soloing. But yeah, remember the good old days where we got 8721 short clips of them practicing stone cold crazy and that was just your life before every show? Those were the times.
Anyway this clip of Spit is probably from some dude that was watching the stream, recorded it and uploaded to his channel. And it's missing firstly how they're making fun of how they don't know the song (but Lars decided to start it anyway) then how they have to practice it until its ready for European tour in October/November and also Lars laughing at Rob that he's the only one that knows the song pretty well.

Where does the link for the tuning room streams show up?

Its usually generated on livemetallica.com just before the show. There's always someone on metallica official board that pastes it in the concert's thread but if you want it now just go to webcast.livemetallica.com/tuning_room.html?show=556 You're gonna have to change the url numbers to from "show=556" to 557 for the next one, 558, 559, 600 ... and so on.

Oh for fuck sake, please make your research before making those assumptions. If I researched it, I wouldn't be making an assumption at all, would I? It was much easier to make an assumption based on the few things I'd seen, which kicked off a conversation and resulted in people such as yourself, who know more about the topic, posting the full details for those interested.

So it's like a livestream now and once its over its gone for good unless someone records it. That's lame because I won't be able to tune in before every show and watch it. Heaven forbid they record it and put it up later on like they've always done. I blame you Q Prime.

Anyone else concerned at how little they know the song they wrote? It makes it glaringly obvious how much they are cut/pasting songs together.

The album was finished May 2016 (sans the title track) meaning they probably haven't really played this song in at least a year, and that was recording individually, not together. It's a tough song, so they're just feeling it out when they're on tour. I'm sure they're going to actually listen and work it out before the next leg starts to at least have a good bearing on it.
