Oh my god, the whining on Reddit is real.
People have of course noticed Papa is on none of the pictures on Alpha's Instagram. Now, that's because they have been deleted. Up until last night I saw at least two pictures that he seems to have forgot to delete. Those are deleted now.
That doesn't mean Papa didn't have a good relationship with the rest of the guys. It's of course calculated from Alpha, and maybe Papa didn't want the pictures to be shown as he have mentioned he doesn't like social media.
The problem is that people now starts to whine about their relationship and that Papa is a dictator with no relationship to the others whatsoever. WE DON'T KNOW THAT! It can't be based on a Instagram profile which obviously have been "cleaned up" with the regards to the pics of Papa.
Fucking hysteria.
Also, the next album is gonna be great. Have they had a say in some of the music besides Omega? I highly doubt it. Now they should really fucking stop with the social media bullshit and behave like adults. Papa hasn't said a word almost, and that has been a good thing. I'm actually starting to think it's for the best that the Ghouls are out.

This is the straw that broke the camels back for me, I'm done with these guys. I loved the first two albums, and got to see them live in early 2014. It was a great show and they were a great live band.
Then they got massive. Their third album had some good songs, but ultimately didn't interest me too much, and everything they've done since has turned me off more and more.
Now they've done a Guns N Roses, with the lead guy fucking over the rest of the band for his ego/financial gain. Not interested,

Okay so the documents are being translated and so far it sounds like the members are more suing for the band's name than the fact that TF never paid them. They state multiple times in the legal documents that they were compensated for the work when the band had money to give them. It seems like at the start the band was basically broke.
This whole thing is fucking stupid. After reading through what's been posted so far this seems pointless.
They named him the guy in charge of finances at the start, and then got mad because he handled finances. They WERE paid equally as partners and it states this multiple times in the documents. This is more about the making money off the name after they have left, but they never signed a written agreement naming them partners with TF, so that probably won't happen.

It seems like the standard story of guys in a band where: A. They feel like they're getting screwed over by their manager/front man. B. The front man thinks he's king shit and more important than any one else. C. The front man finds new guys to be in his band who won't rock the boat, announces and goes on a tour with his new hired guns under the same name. D. The other guys in the band find out that they've been fired via press. E. The fired guys sue the front man.
It's as clichèd as it gets. Money and fame man.

Its possible that the next Ghost album (if it does get released) might be closer to the debut.
IF so, I'll still purchase it. But papa looks to have fucked things up royally. Greedy people ruin good things.

That list blew my mind. It looks like the only time the full band was there was for Infest. Crazy. I've always wanted to know who did what in the studio so this was pretty cool.

Behhh.
To me, The Nameless Ghouls have always been, by the very definition of their name, anonymous entities, fully disposable and interchangeable. Save for maybe Omega, none of them has been a major contributor creatively, Tobias Forge has written the majority of the songs anyway. To me, it doesn't matter one bit who's behind the Ghoul masks, just as long as Papa Emeritus is fronting.
It's not like this is the first time in music history something like this has happened. This is nothing Dave Mustaine hasn't done about a million times over.

4.1.20 At a meeting at the home of SS March 2, 2011, at which TF, Gustaf Lindström, SS, MP, AH and MR attended, see Appendix 8 a. the partners confirmed that TFs role would be to band leader and write the band's music. Other people would essentially act as a musician in the band.

If the agreement was to share money but couldn't happen because the band wasn't profitable (quite likely since... Well it's the norm in the business really) BUT then Papa offers that consultant contracts...it really screams of Papa possibly one day presenting the consultant status as justification for never retroactively giving them anything. So, I can't say I blame the guys for filing the suit just a way of disclosing all information.
As for all the noise this generates I couldn't care less. I first heard of Ghost because I knew it was the band of these guys so there was never any mystique for me, even though the gimmick/visual is pretty cool.

So, has Papa/Tobias been the main songwriter in the past? I kind of stopped paying attention to this band a while back. You could change out all the members and I wouldn't know the difference (obviously, no one would)
If the next album/band is good, then, does any of this really matter? Being that they are a fully costumed band, then there is hardly a personal connection there, to me. If this all had happened, but never got put out there to the public, we wouldn't be any the wiser.

Yes, him and Omega have all of the writing credits except for a few that were from producers. www.metalsucks.net/2017/04/06/ghost-heres-a-list-of-songwriting-credits-for-every-song-in-their-catalog/

Great video and audio quality! Might be the best I've seen crowd footage wise. Awesome performance of Absolution.

Saw them last thursday.
Big difference compared to the Infest/Meliora tour. No magical feeling anymore, the new guitarists sucks, Square Hammer is a shitty opener, and Im tired of Papas silly stage banter
They need to go dark again and get MP and SS back.

Sounds like Slayer, but replace lead singer with guitarist and have Dave Lombardo be the one thinking management is screwing the band. Anyways, that is a shame. They have been a unique band and sure their names would've eventually been leaked or released, but the fact that the lead singer would do that shows that the whole shabang revolves around him and only him. Hell the guitarist and the original bassist was in his other band that he had before they formed Ghost, so them leaving because of this is just another addition to the "Dave Mustaine Effect". We'll see what their next releases sound like. As long as they don't get stale, then they'll be fine regardless who is in the band.
