It seems like he thinks that having just one consistent member with a rotating door of other musicians is the ideal way to run a band, and that having a consistent group of members is old-fashioned.

Same for me, but only 2013. They blew my mind, because I never listened to them before the show. Never have I been more surprised by a band live.
Oh, yeah, also in 2014 when they played before Metallica, but that was not a full package Ghost show imo. Also, it was sunny.
