Then the Deluxe buyers would have a limited edition specialty (with less content)
Ooooo, hadn't seen the content pages, thanks man. I bought one of those white Iron Cross's. I love it but its my only guitar with active p/ups and it is still strange to me that my guitar can run out of batteries
Had the EMG Het Set put into my guitar, left it plugged into the amp which was switched off, battery dead within a week doh. I havent looked into it at all but my guess is when you have your jack plugged into the guitar the circuit is closed and the battery is connected so will slowly drain. Using the guitar drains it faster obviously but even just sitting there plugged in, it is draining. Just gotta remember to unplug when you put it on your stand.

I bought the Justice box set for 650 Aussie... looking forward to listening to the CDs. Nice Bunny Dont recall it being that much but was awhile ago. Be sure to check each disc....I had a double up placed in the wrong sleeve. It all looked there but when removing the disc I saw there had been a packing error. Has only happened once in 5 boxsets, so not common, but does happen

It's not really funny anymore. Man Kirk :/ It's not straightforward but he should be able to do it after the number of years they played it.

Wow, there's a lot going on in terms of guitar work on Nothing Else Matters, let alone other instruments, the mixing, overall production and ambience. It's not suprising when it comes to the TBA or any other Bob Rock produced work, but still it's a thrilling experience to listen to and discover subtleties. The intro with the way the guitar strings sound, and how they come and go, get lost and echo in the room create such as mesemrizing atmosphere I've never heard before; it's unique what Bob Rock and crew achieved on this album. The whole TBA, but this song in particular, is timeless. Surely James and Lars had the songs already, the content, but Bob made them shine in such a way that goes to prove how production and mixing can make the most of songwriting. I wish the guys worked with him one last time, at least on an EP. It's ironic they ended their working relationship on such a disatisfactory note -- St. Anger... Listening to the isolated guitar parts in NEM and Unforgiven is almost more interesting than the finished song. Don't ask me why.

As someone who's not a native English speaker but has been learning/ practicing /enjoying the language since a little boy, I've always found the boys interviews really useful, especially James' and Lars'. I've copied and mimicked their inflections, mannerisms, learned lots of vocabulary and iomatic phrases (let alone thru the lyrics). It's not only enriched my vocabulary and speaking skills but also let me explore English outside your typical text book. Forums have been really helpful as well! Definitely, a great way to get your finger on the pulse of current English

Watched this the other night (ending is cut but otherwise fine)
I dont recall ever reading or hearing the chords of MoP were downtuned and sped up ??? Its super tight but I always believed that to be the true (in E) performance. Anyone think otherwise?

Not really. James is doing crowd work and he does it to Rob who smiles. It's on stage interaction. Fuck me your posts are strange. Watched this the other night (ending is cut but otherwise fine) I dont recall ever reading or hearing the chords of MoP were downtuned and sped up ??? Its super tight but I always believed that to be the true (in E) performance. Anyone think otherwise? It's referencing an interview with Flemming Rasmussen where he first mentions the idea of speeding a tape up for a high vocal part in Sanitarium and then claims to have recorded songs in a lower tuning and then used VariSpeed to bring them up to pitch.... but he doesn't say which songs. Interview is here, go to the 1m50 mark I must admit, this is the first time I have heard this. I can't quite believe that Puppets was the track he was talking about.... it sounds too precise and clean which you don't get when detuned guitars and the sound ends to be a bit more flappy and muddy and Puppets is so tight.. but who knows. If they had the So What mag still, I'd email a question in

Messengers arrived today, its really good. But the Metallica/guitar nerd in me cant help but nitpick details and inconsistencies. that sure is disappointing. Do you have any examples? Copperhead, a guitar from 2015, apparently was used in the recording of Death Magnetic in 2008. The Snakebyte model, let alone the Copperhead version, was only created in 2010. Dirty Donnie is listed as a 2003 MX-250, but in the text Het talks about painting one of his old MX250’s white and giving it to Donnie as a blank canvas. He talks about the Of Wolf And Man guitar (someone needs to tell James its actually called Man to Wolf, also while you’re at it, it’s not Outlaw of Torn) reminding him of the Black album tour, and then just mentions in a passing sentence that it’s still on tour with them today. Sorry James, we were hoping to have a paragraph and photo or two of how you rediscovered/remembered that guitar in 2019 and started playing it again after 15 years of it not being used on tour at all. Also Rusty is listed as 2003 Gibson, all black. But we have that video in the black box of James talking about a 58 Korina (assuming its a reissue) being modded into Rusty…unless he put those ideas into a different guitar that became Rusty?
The Horizon Double neck from the Montreal show is listed as a 1991 model, then in the first paragraph of text Het says it's an '89. And he says it was retired after the Montreal incident. On the next page there's a photo of John Marshall playing it on stage after Montreal saying he could see where Het's hand was on the next from the charring marks on it.
Stuff like that.
