Do they really think Dirty Window is a good song?
It would also be great if they'd never play Moth Into Flame again. I keep 'seeing' Lady Gaga.

Nobody tell 'em about the live version of Killing Time from NYC '98. Jeez what hell is that all about, inserting n****r kid? Never knew about this. Those were the original lyrics Sweet Savage wrote. They later changed it to "killer kid" for obvious reasons, like them no longer being largely confined to early 80s Northern Ireland. Dunno why James felt the need to go with the original version when they did it live years later. I guess he figured it fit his image of not giving a shit about anything.

Probably more to do with reflexive memory. His stored version of the lyrics would be the version he learnt as a kid rather than the version they did as a cover.

Do they really think Dirty Window is a good song? I saw this and gave the version from last night a listen and it never really hit me how basic that riff is. I think I like the song because I like the band a lot as musicians, but it feels very "high schooler's first riff" especially if you play it in standard.

I'm not gonna complain about Dirty Window because I think it's nice when they play stuff from their later albums but I am questioning why it basically hasn't left the set all year, lol

Definitely wasn’t on my bingo card lol I’m sad they didn’t keep Bleeding Me around but I also like how it’s always had this rare mystique about it. They don’t play it too often but they’ve never shelved it for a decade or something.

Dirty Window is a fun and very easy tune to play, on all instruments. It’s upbeat but doesn’t require much. Unlike most other Stanger songs. Maybe that’s why.
I would love to hear My World but Lars would skip all the awesome parts, so no thanks.

My only reaction to this private, personal matter being made news is that I hope this doesn't involve James starting to drink again, either currently or in the future.

Probably will. A lot of his choices to stop drinking revolved around his commitment to his family. The kids are all grown up now, and the wife is out. The Alcoholic brain will convince him that it's ok to let loose a little now, a few drinks to unwind will turn into a relapse. I sure hope not, but that's the route his brain will take him.

another VERY tough year for this guy coming up. i hope he’s handling it okay Check Reddit, dudes doing fine. Been separated a while now apparently, a year+, there’s creep shots posted of him out and about with a new woman from months ago. Can always count on the internet for celebrity gossip. Probably explains the post rehab weight loss, massive slim down and the general new lease on life the guy seems to have on stage compared to years prior.

Sweet Amber or Invisible Kid (shortened) could sound good live if they tried. Anything, something, for the love of God.

They made a huge mistake with only playing Sweet Amber once. That should've been a staple on that tour. With a little refining this could've been amazing. The St. Anger DVD version is insane too.

Sweet Amber live features on the last Vinyl club release....feeling like it should have been played live more often. But Unnamed Feeling is the clear "winner" of the 4 songs they put on there.

I would love to hear Sweet Amber live again. It's amazing how much better St. Anger songs sound live, which is something I honestly don't say for a lot of Metallica songs.
