I gave "Escape Plan" a chance last night. It had so much potential, but unfortunately was a huge, steaming pile of shit. 3/10

Star Wars Rogue One
After my home viewing I can say that you can safely lose; Forest Whitiker, The Jedi Monk characters, the battle on Jedha and that Imperial droid.
Keep the beginning, Jen... meh... i suppose you can keep her for the story but have her already a resistance fighter. The imperial pilot defects, brings the message, they get a bunch of soldiers together and they go get the plans.

The last 30 minutes of the movie is the best Star Wars you'll ever see. It's just the rest feels like filler. A lot of Filler. And Forest Whitiker. Is the most pointless character I've ever seen in a movie. Seeing Carrie fisher again brings back the feels though...

I think what happened here is that so much material ended up on the cutting room floor, that there's a lot of "why?" left in the final cut.

The whole film is pointless...let's make a film about how the plans to the Death Star were stolen...i mean really? Boring af.

It would have been a good tail, and the last 30 minutes it is. But they should have made it a special forces mission like the original reveal had you think it would be. I don't want to come across as Sexy, but did we really need Jen?? Another "special child" protagonist. Chuck as many broads in there as you like, I don't give a fuck, but I am not buying it that a street urchin story is more likely than a special forces raid, with battle hardened Rebel Commandos. But... Disney would never have gone for that...

Collectively the worst thing that has ever happened to mankind... Still haven't finished the second and third one Well I have never seen the first all the way through, I fell asleep after they arrived at the Emerald City in Jar Jars' water car and then woke up when they were fighting Darth Maul. I skipped the second I saw the last on a Cast and Crew Premiere at Leicester Square Odeon. It's worth noting that none of the cast turned up, it started with a speech on stage, a thanks for your hard work, followed by a cheer, followed by the movie, followed by a mixture of silence and mumbling as people left the theatre. My mate, that got me in, turned to me and said "well that was shit" and I cracked up laughing. I saw the second years later. Many years later. Dear god I never knew anything could be worse than the Phantom Menace...

Watched Ghost In The Shell. First half of it was lol , second half of it was great. I don't know how a movie can change from terrible to a good movie. But I can say that creators of the movie (or was it japanese cartoon?) were heavily influenced by Matrix Triology and Star Wars.

Both on Netflix
Lone Survivor
If you enjoy war movies, this one will be a winner for you. Like We Were Soldiers, it's based on a true story, is a bit slow to get started, but once it does... Holy shit. It's about this squad of ground troops in Afghanistan who loose communication with base, and are surrounded by like 5000 Taliban soldiers in the mountains. Based on the title of the movie, you can guess what happens next. Very sad stuff.
It Came From Outer Space -1950 something
They don't make them like this anymore. Fuck all that CG shit. The writing/dialogue is very poetic and the pace and suspense is fantastic.
