Santa's elves have made 75000 extra toys by mistake so Santa needs help from Michael Bolton. Bolton has to run a Valentines Day telethon getting the watchers to make sexy love and make 75000 new babies for the extra toys. This movie us full of cameo's from SNL cast members and other celebrity's. You are basically watching the telethon and it gets super ridiculous, really fast. Yeah, the vr stuff was awesome. I also loved his gun,it was just a little detail, but it was so funny, same with both Kenny G's and the whole dance number studio rehearsal bit.

John Wick 2 is quite good. Don't think it's quite as good as 1 just because of how surprisingly good 1 was, but it's still a fantabulous movie. Although, they may have gone a tad overboard with John killing dozens of guys on easy mode in this one.

Train to Busan - A korean zombie movie which was fucking fantastic ! probably the best zombie movie I have seen since 28 days later. It has some social commentary thrown in but its not shoved in your face or being smug about it. The zombies are terrifying and the situations people are put in are stressful. It does have subtitles but its not a problem as they barely talk during the frantic scenes. I cannot recommend this movie enough, its easily a 10/10 (as a zombie movie) for me.

I watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (the new one, not secret of the ooz) and it was pretty cool. Not a pile of shit like the first reboot. It was very much inline with the cartoon. Rock Steady + Beebop, Krang, the technodrome, all the fun stuff.
I was impressed, was expecting nothing that great, but was surprised and actually enjoyed it. No where near as epic as the original TMNT movie, but far better then any other TMNT movie that followed.

Those where my initial thoughts exactly, but I don't know, they looked a lot better then in the first reboot, the Michael Bay factor was tame and nothing too over the top, and M. Fox in a nice checkered skirt... Worth it just for that.
Get past the first 10 minutes and you'll enjoy it. Just pretend you are watching the cartoon and then certain things can slide.

Logan is soooo fucking grim. Jesus. Meaning ? Everything feels so hopeless and nihilistic. The main characters are pretty miserable throughout the entire movie. Logan essentially saved all of the mutants multiple times in the X-Men movies and it was all in vain because in the beginning of this movie all his friends are dead except for Professor X. Logan is weak and constantly in pain and everything he's achieved his whole life is crumbling around him. That said, excellent movie. Would recommend. |

Loved it.
I'm not a superhero movie guy, but I've always had a soft spot for the X-Men since I loved the cartoon. This one was like a normal movie about a guy who happened to have been in superhero movies in the past. Was fucking cool.
