Come and SeeI've always heard about this movie and how just plain fucked up it is but kind of put off watching it because I didn't really buy into the hype. Last night I was laying in bed and decided to watch it because I couldn't sleep. Huge mistake. It might be one of the best movies I've ever seen, and at the same time I wish I never saw it. Talk about one of the most fucked up movies ever, it really makes you think. If any of you think about watching this, don't do it before you go to sleep like I did and don't read much about it. The whole thing is on Youtube, just load it up and sit back and get ready for one of the most horrifying and depressing movies ever. I added the links for any of you that are interested.
I'll watch it! If I can't sleep....that's ok, I don't have to be up early for anything tomorrow anyway....  It's not a horror movie, but it's very thought provoking. When the credits started I just sat there for a while speechless. I can't wait to see your review of it. |

I'm expecting the same stupid parents who brought their kids to see The Dark Knight while mistakingly bring their kids to see Sausage Party. Movie looks alright, I just feel the joke will get old after 30 minutes or so. Who knows, it might be really good. |

Star Trek Beyond
At least the stranded on a planet part felt somewhat like something from the old show. Didn't like the more usual Hollywood bombast ending but better than the last two.

The Nice Guys - Liked it a lot. Gosling and Crowe in a witty Shane Black action comedy. We need more movies like this.
Green Room - Really good horror flick and the kind that I like. Very tense atmosphere throughout without relying on jump scares or silly effects.

Which animation are you talking about? Thanks for the heads up on this one, I watched it last night and it was awesome. Very cool indeed. HQs voice bothered me a bit, is she from Jersey or something? Besides her voice, everything else was A+. |

Suicide Squad - One of the worst movies I've ever seen, quite possibly the worst one I've ever seen in theaters. Just awful.
Sausage Party - I enjoyed it overall. The theme and messages are totally in your face - if you're looking for nuance and subtlety, you've come to the wrong place - but overall it's executed really well. It's pretty consistently funny; I was never quite in stitches but there was never really a lull either. I also thought the art style was really cool. Some of the character designs are funny, and I liked how shots from the food's perspective and shots from the humans' perspective had their own distinct looks to them, and when something happened that changed the mood of the people whose perspective we were seeing, the colors and lightning changed to reflect that. Definitely not for everyone, but if you've seen the marketing and thought it looked interesting I'd recommend it.

I watched "Pandemic" last night. It was just OK, and that's being generous. Most of the film is shot in a POV style so it kind of made me dizzy. The Zombies, if you can call them that where well thought out. They where more like people with rabies and still intelligent enough. The acting was painful to watch, very shit cast. Story was nothing new.
3/10 I would avoid it unless you are a huge Zombie enthusiast and need something to get your fix.

I watched "Pixels". It was far better than I was expecting, still a pretty stupid movie though. But, if your in the right mood (420) its pretty damn funny. There were some really great parts and that midget was priceless. Adam Sandler was toned down to his serious character and not making stupid voices and being retarded so that helps. Silly light and fun, kind of like Mars Attacks, Eight legged Freaks or Evolution.

I love everything about that movie. Me too I love it, but at the same time I can understand why others don't. The music and dialogue is fantastic, great actors too. Saw Civil War yesterday, I don't really know what to think of it. There's so many damn enhanced people, it's hard to keep track of. I felt like it was about to fall apart several times but they kept it nicely together and the fighting between the Avengers was believable. One thing though, The Vision should be the most powerful of the bunch, yet he does nothing in the entire movie. |
