I watched Seed of Chucky with the kid last night. It's some really funny shit. So many little jokes and things make it over the top ridiculous fun.

We've been watching episodes of Black Mirror. The short ep format works for his right now.
Some weird storylines but ideas that we would have scoffed at 10 years ago are much more believable today.

Mortal engines: probably a young-adult book made into a movie. Story is really simple and straightforward. In a postacopaliptyc world are groups of people. They have built mobile cities that devour everything in their path. Really? ... ok.

The Snowman 2/5 and I'm being generous! the only reason I got through this film is the gin and lemonade I drank lol 🤣 not even Michael Fassbender could save this one, avoid at all costs!

The super Mario Bros movie
Fun animated movie. I really liked it. My daughter has seen it twice now. She obviously liked it too.

My kids watch it in both English and French, and the French Mario sounds much better than Chris Pratt. |

Chicken run 2: entertaining but nothing really special. The most special thing about it is that it is stop-motion with clay figurines. (like Shaun the sheep, Wallace and Gromit, ...) I find the amount of work this involves and the artistry impressive. Chicken run has a lot of detail in the background and it takes A LOT of work to make those little things move.

5 nights at Freddy's  I just sat through it because the kids have been pestering me for months. What's your excuse Alan? It had potential, but unfortunately did not deliver. I was expecting a lot more gore and jump scares. The kids loved it, but they're stupid and have bad taste. |

Teenage mutant ninja turtles: Mutant mayhem
Grab some pop-corn or m&ms and watch this with the kids. Fun movie written by Seth Rogan and voices by Jackie Chan (Splinter), Ice Cube (Superfly), Seth Rogan (Bebobà, John Cena (Rocksteady) and some other unknown people.
Only problem you might have with this is the style of animation. Everything is drawn as if a teenager made some doodle in his notebook.

We are halfway thru Boy Swallows Universe on Netflix.
Pretty awesome so far, keen to finish it up tonite.
Its about 2 brothers growing up in 80s Australia in a fucked up family environment. ie. Mum uses, stepdad deals, real dads an alco.
