- Don't Look Up - 🚫👀⬆️ Cool movie. Pretty solid cast. Could have been trimmed by 20 or so minutes, felt a little too bloated. Kind of plays out in 3 (slightly too long) acts. Couple of annoying characters, lots of good ones though. Rides the line between a comedy and a serious drama with some pretty heavy moments, sometimes trying a bit too hard going for the "wow" factor. Worth checking out if you want to check out for 2 hours. The good is great, and the bad passes quickly. Definitely stick around after the credits 😉 9/10 I liked it too but it wouldn't be a bad thing if it had some more action sequences. |

Saw the Queen movie at outdoor cinema last night but it was the singalong version.
This means the lyrics to each song are displayed along bottom of screen as they feature, karaoke style. Nobody sang thank god, but I learnt a lot of lyrics last night.

Really fun movie. Ryan Reynolds plays this NPC character inside this Matrix style Grand Theft Auto / Fortnite game that the whole world is obsessed with. He becomes "Aware" as his A.I. was designed to do while the world watches in a Truman Show kind of way. Lots of laughs, nods to pop culture gamer stuff, and silly messed up adventures.

In the past few days I have watched all Karate Kid movies again. Here is my verdict: I: awesome II: meh III: alright The one with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan is actually pretty good. Everything and everyone is called differently but are easily recogniseble from the old movie. The 'evil' karate school is obviously Cobra Kai. Remember the scene where Mr. Miyagi tried to catch a flie with chopsticks (old movie)? Jackie Chan (Mr. Tan) uses a flie swatter  Biggest difference is, this isn't a karate kid. It's a kung fu kid. They don't practise karate but kung fu (there is a difference). |

Today I 'rewatched' Watchmen but this time it was the Ultimate Cut. This is one of my favourite 'super'hero movies. It is gritty and grim and pretty violent. It is also directed by Zack Snyder (Justice Leagua) and it is also pretty long (215 min). It is a difficult movie. It has a lot of flashbacks and there are 2 of every hero (the minutemen in the 40s who got succeeded by the watchmen in the 80s).
Tonight a comedian died in New York.

I had episodes 1,2,3 of Starwars playing in the background the other day. Compared to these shit new ones, they're not actually that bad.
that new Obi-Wan series coming soon looks decent, and they brought back the same cast.
