How I became a super hero: French movie. I thought it was boring. There's a drug on the streets that gives users super powers. The police tries to catch them. I expected a movie like Kick Ass. It isn't.

A Quiet Place 2
Fun anxiety fuel. Fast paced, short and sweet. Some stupid things you can question, but all around it's good.

The 13th Warrior
Haven't watched it in about 20 years. Still holds up well. Other than Antonio Banderas playing an Arab with a thick Spanish accent (π€·π») not much to complain about, and Antonio still did a good job, probably wouldn't fly now a days though lol.

I don't get it at all. Please explain? Hahaha itβs an experimental movie about addiction, how addicts live in their own world, they use eventhough they know that theyβre killing themselves. I really loved this one.

The Suicide Squad - funny & bloody. I couldn't believe a couple had what looked like a 3 & a 4 year old in the cinema like wtf? it's probably the bloodiest film I've seen from start to finish and they bring infants in to see it!!?

Sophie's Choice Up in the Air
Both should have been much better than what they are.

Meryl is good as usual but overall an overrated film.

Nope, ours was only for 1 week and I wasn't home til Day 3 so was very little impact. Was kinda glad, to be honest.... I was able to return from holiday and chill rather than feel required to visit every person I haven't seen for 2 months (I'm a bit anti-social)

Wonder Woman 1984: I thought it wasn't as good as the first but still good and entertaining. My gf even thinks it is better than the first but that's probably because she is wonder woman. She often wonders where her keys are, she wonders where her cellphone is, ...
The actress who plays Asteria is Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman from the show from the '70s.

Zack Snyder's Justice League: I liked the theatrical version of Justice League but this one is far superior. All scenes are longer and more elaborate so the story is more fluent. The action sequences are longer, bigger and better. Some scenes are different or even completely left out. The characters are more developt and some get their own origin story.
So all in all: Clocking in at almost 4 hours it never bores. There's a lot of action and a really good story. The characters are developt really deep this time and they get a lot of attention. There even are new characters introduced and old ones from previous movies return. A must see for fans of DC.

Fear Street 1&2: Scream clones but a different story. Not bad but not great either. Good for fans of the genre otherwise forgettable. They don't bring anything new. The second one is better than the first one, tonight I'm going to watch the third.

The 3rd isn't really a slasher. They only slash in the end. The interesting thing about this trilogy is that every sequel is actually a prequel which makes it a bit fascinating. So the third one goes back to the origin of the story and completes it.

Boss Level: I really enjoyed this one. It is funny and has a lot of action. The story has been done before (Live, Die, Repeat). This movie prooves that timeloops can be funny.

New Matrix trailer is out. Looks okay, probably be a let down though like everything else these days π I really, really don't like him looking like John Wick...It ruins it for me. The way a lot of the shots seem like too on-the-nose references to scenes from the original trilogy also rubs me the wrong way. It mostly just looks like an anticlimatic fanmade trailer made up of scenes from other movies and some fanmade versions of famous Matrix scenes.

Haha, I watched Macgruber with my kids. So many dick jokes, throat ripping action, and just fucked up humor. The kids loved it, learned some new words, and my wife was super pissed off at me for letting them watch it. All in all I'd say it was a success.π

Dune (2021) Really, really good. The casting was great, the visuals were fantastic, the music and the sound design was brilliant. Left me yearning for more. Certainly didn't feel like 2.5 hours.
