Michael Bay stuff? Pearl Harbor, etc... Thanks. I'm mostly looking for b movies with low budgets though. Any movie starring Nicholas Cage from the past 20 years is unintentionally hilarious because of how crazy he is lol.

Lego movie 2; Meh, it was ok, some of the new characters were annoying, felt more like a straight to video kind of deal.

One Night in Miami
I thought it was gonna be a bit more entertaining and wild but it was ok I guess.

There's a whole bunch of movies from the past year I wanna see but none are on Netflix or Prime or Youtube movies. Some are on Vudu but that isnt available on my ps4. I guess I will have to go back to illegal torrent downloads, which I haven't done in years. Movie streaming services really need to up their game. They make a fucking fortune from subscriptions and purchases but never seem to get the rights to streaming anything decent.

Dogman
Superb acting and direction, turns what seems like a small setting and scope "crime" film into a proper grueling and gruesome watch. Though I am not sure if the (inevitable) escalation towards the end is balanced enough.

Red Beard
What a profoundly humane movie. Kurosawa and Mifune final work together it seems, but what a send-off it is. A breeze to watch though it's almost three hours long.

The Predator 2018
Cool stuff, lots of funny parts, simple enough story, much better than I expected. Easy watch.

In super rare form I have seen 2 films at a cinema within a week. Both were excellent yo
UNHINGED This one was unique in that me and the missus saw it at the outdoor cinema which we've not been to a lot. Hire an overpriced beanbag, kick of the thongs and chill on the picnic rug with beers in a cooler bag. Simple film, easy to follow. A one and a half hour road-rage video pretty much. Could it have been any more perfect for me?? I don't think so, Alan. Watch who you beep your horn at. (Carhorn, Smithers, dirty fucker)
THE DRY I was confident I was going to like this one. Its Aussie, It has Eric Bana in the lead role and we all know how fucking awesome Eric is dont we? Yes we fucking do... he is all class, a down to earth Aussie legend and also owns a tough as nails '72 Ford. A healthy man crush has developed over time, not sure which one of us instigated it, its not important. So anyway the film.... based on a true story which I am yet to look into and has Eric returning back to the town he grew up in after his childhood buddy has been part of an apparent murder / suicide. Worth a proper look and you get to see a typical outback town of Australia and all of its characters.
The End.

Fallen Angels
Picks up immediately where Chungking Express picks off, but while being identical it somehow falls short. Must be the more bizarre stories.

Zombieland Double Tap
Not as good or fresh feeling as the first. Felt forced and awkward at times, especially Woody. Couple of really funny parts, but not much else. But... Emma🥴

Mank
Utterly uninteresting movie, what the hell was Fincher thinking? It's about Hollywood so they'll pat themselves on the back and give awards to this.

My Spy
Fun, silly, easy watch. Lots of super funny parts. Story is predictable AF, but it knows it, and pokes fun at the genre. Modern version of Kindergarten Cop. Cast is great.

Leto ("Summer")
Creative biopic about the rock scene in early 80s Soviet Russia. Pretty cool moments of fourth wall breaking and the score is pretty decent. It fizzes out a bit towards the end but the first 60 minutes I was smiling like a little kid.

Sonic The Hedgehog. I think it is a fun movie and my 4 year old watched it from beginning to end. She has the attention span of a ferret on speed so this is a huge accomplishment.

The special edition of Independence Day. When this came out it was revolutionary because of the huge special effects and explosions. Watching it again, 20+ years later, still hasn't changed my feelings about this. It really has aged very well and is still the mother of all alien invasion movies.

These kids now a days don't know shit.

Independence day 2 isn't THAT bad. I think it is entertaining and kind of a logical follow-up (it only makes sence the humans scavaged and use the alien technology).

I'll have to give it a second chance. I fell asleep the first time around, not out of boredom, just exhausted when I got around to. Seemed okay at best.
