Movies I've seen the last few weeks:
Mad Max - Fury Road - Rewatched this in 4K, still amazing and it looked gorgeous
The Christmas Chronicles - as most Christmas movies it was flawed, but I liked it.
Tenet - Rewatched this as well, liked it better the second time around. It's still mind-bending though
Nobody sleeps in the woods tonight - Bland horror movie with annoying character's.

Bad Boys For Life: pretty good action movie. If you liked the others this is a must watch. The fact that the directors are from Belgium (from Marocan descent) only makes it better.

A 2 hour event where Will is basically blowing his nose with $1000 bills amongst the former cast, while simultaneously making them cry, as they try to out do each other with their lame carers in comparison to his.

The Boat
Movie about a guy stuck on a boat because the boat is haunted or has a mind of its own or some shit. Includes 30 minutes of the guy locked in the toilet on the boat. I don't know why I watched this, guess I expected more.

National Lampoons Vacation....both classics
IT 2 - what a bunch of shit
Every Which way But Loose....was awesome, havent seen it for decades
Lovely Bones.....pretty good
Zombieland...finally got around to watching this one after Awake mentioned it ages ago, was entertaining, far better than I expected.
Bewitched....could have been great but I'm well over this couch and watching random films

I got Suicide Squad on blu-ray as a present. I had already seen the movie twice and didn't really like it. But you don't look a given horse yadayadayada so I gave it another chance. This time I watched the extended cut and all extra's. My opinion about this movie changed in a good way. I loved it!!!! There's so much detail in that movie. For example Harley Quinn has 20 (20) tattoos. You barely see them in the movie but they are there according to the extra's. You can see 2 tattoos: a little heart on her cheek with the word ROTTEN under it. Harley's gun is awesome too. It is a black Magnum Rhino with the words LOVE and HATE alternating on the cylinder. So if she shoots you get LOVE or HATE. You can see this in the movie but you have to look really well. Remember that scene on the street with all the guys running and jumping over the cars? That is not a green-screen, those are actual men on ropes. There are actual men pulling those ropes so the other men can jump over a car ... It is so cool Best thing about the movie though is Margot Robbie. She plays Harley and does a fantastic job. She IS Harley Quinn. She's a whole lotta pretty and a whole lotta crazy. I also got Birds of Prey. I haven't seen it yet but will write an extensive review about it when I have watched it. Margot Robbie is in it as my favourite DC villain! I can't wait to see her shenanigans! |

I just watched Birds of Prey and I thought it is a really fun movie. At first I was sceptical because it is written and directed by women. So I was scared it would be overly feministic and boring (everyone knows women aren't funny). It really is a fun and colorful movie to watch and yes, there is some humor. Grab some pop-corn and watch it!! Fact: the hyena is CGI It was filmed with a dog. Margot really is the star of this movie again. |
