I could never get into GTA 5 online. Love the single player game. I don't understand why they don't just have a free roam online mode where everybody can just roam around killing people randomly. I don't like the mini games like races and stuff.

I really enjoyed the car customization and playing LSPDFR online through fivem.
The actual activities of the online game started to suck though because of just how grindy the game has become.
It's still fun to hop one every once in a while but things just cost way too much now to make it enjoyable.
Having said that, it's cool that they add so much content for free. They really have added a shitload to the online side of things since the games launch.

Been playing NES Remix on the Wii U.
How is Nintendo proud of Ice Climbers? There are no redeeming qualities. It's absolute shit.

Wii U is backwards compatible with Wii games and accessories, correct? Yes it is. Good, my 3rd Wii just crapped out on me and I got a bunch of stuff I'd hate to have go to waste and collect dust. Wii U is a lot easier to find now, think I'll pick one up.

So is Nintendo just going to eternally cash out on Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, etc. and not progress as a company? When I heard the Nintendo Switch was coming out, I was like oh what games are coming out for it? Big launch title: Mario + Raving Rabbids. So....a Nintendo character + a bunch of weird mutated rabbits from a off shoot of a Rayman video game? I guess they're banking on the upcoming generations discovering Nintendo games. If so, then they found the secret to keep making money. I don't know, I think it's a bit sad.

And at this point they can't compete against MS and Sony at what they do.

Yep, same old shit, watched a video of the new Mario game the other day, looked boring as fuck and the comments are cooing and drawing one off over it. People think that thing is the next Wii, it'll do well but FFS get some prospective here.

The Switch has been out for 6/7 months, Mario + Rabbids isn't exactly a big launch game (that was Zelda and the Mario Kart 8 port). I do agree that there's a need for new IPs, but they have made an effort with Splatoon last gen and Arms this gen (both of which are million+ sellers). With the handheld and home console divisions allegedly merging, hopefully there'll be more of a focus on newer IPs and/or long neglected ones.

Breath of the Wild is the most critically acclaimed game this generation and couldn't be more different from its predecessors. I don't see how you can say "same old shit" with a straight face after posting a Forza 7 trailer. Let's not pretend Sony and Microsoft aren't as bad at milking their franchises. Worse yet, the Nth game in a Sony and Microsoft franchise is usually a technically superior version of the first game, whereas Nintendo games might use the same characters but the games can be wildly different (Mario and Rabbids is a tactical X-Com game). Plus the gap between the mainline releases in a major Nintendo franchise is usually huge; the last major 3D Mario game was 7 years ago. The last Zelda 6 years ago.

What Final Fantasy is Sony at....about 20 by now right? And isn't the next Microsoft COD game called ' COD: In Space' because they've done just about every location and every time period on earth so Space is the only place left for the franchise to expand? Though I do agree, Nintendo really is geared more towards 80s and 90s babies because most of us grew up with that shit and Zelda and Mario will be forever endeared to our hearts but I wonder if the new generation can feel the same way we did to those games? It was real strategy back in those days. If you got stuck in a spot it could be months until you figured it out and that little Zelda jingle (da Da DA DAAAA) felt like a real accomplishment when you finally figured the puzzle out and heard it! Now kids can just google that shit so strategy games aren't as endearing as they used to be. I think it's mostly us buying these games nowadays for the nostalgia. They may have to end these series at some point and provide some sort of closure to these stories lines before we all turn 70 and die and they lose their customer base.

Final Fantasy is Square Enix, not Sony.
Call of Duty is also not a Microsoft-made game.

My take on the Zelda thing, I stopped playing them when Twilight Princess came out because it was too different for my liking. After that, it's left me behind because now it's so far passed what I would like I have no interest in catching up.

It certainly didn't take me 40 years to lose interest in CoD.
