That's the price you have to pay for a good game tho. Look at 'No Man's Sky'....seems like it coulda been a great game had they taken the time to really invest in a story, develop a multi-player and develop a battle system, etc etc.....that game had a couple of more years at least until the final product would have been complete but they rushed it....put it out waaaaay to soon and now it's getting slaughtered everywhere you look. Look at Mass Effect 3's ending, again....they needed a few more month's to fully flesh out that ending and deliver something more appropriate than what we got but they were rushing to not miss a deadline and because of that, we got that crap that we got. That's why I'm glad this upcoming Mass Effect keeps getting pushed back, I'm happy the Last Guardian has been under development for years, I'm happy a Breath of Wild still has a year to go even though the hours and hours of game play displayed at this year's E3 looked fantastic! The time being invested in these games suggest that they are going to be great!!! If they were being rushed and just popping these out every year...I would be less enthusiastic... Oh I completely agree but it seems like as far as this game goes it may never actually be released. There is even talks that the next game might be a reboot which would make me cry because the first three game are about a group of people's story and it didn't have a conclusion, and after almost a decade of waiting for this next part that might be the thing that pushes me over the edge and I will turn into a mad man that talks about COCKS all day on an Internet message board. A decade is a long time to wait.....they need to get on that shit! Maybe they don't think it'll be profitable or something.....?

A decade is a long time to wait.....they need to get on that shit! Maybe they don't think it'll be profitable or something.....? I lost hope a couple of years ago and then around 2014 the lead developer said they were working on it, and every year since its been "Oh we are working on it". My heart can't take much more. They are the same people behind Borderlands so obviously I get it that a huge franchise like that comes first, but they need to quit teasing us and either shove it in or pull it out. Hopefully with all of the WW2 movies coming out in the not so distant future it gives them the kick in the ass they need to put the thing out while there is some sort of renewed intrest in that time period. Actually now that I think about it, the last game of this series and Death Magnetic were released around the same time and we are finally getting the follow up to DM this year. How come the things I love have to have the slowest working people behind them? Oh well there is always next year.

Some games aren't great due to time being taken. Sometimes, it's because it's in developmental hell, and comes out like shit in the end.

Like you shouldn't be "happy" that The Last Guardian has been in development for nearly 10 years. That isn't a sign of a healthy development (neither is the founder of the studio and director of the game quitting the studio, though I believe he's still part of development as a contracted third party). The game might still be great, and delays are for the most part better than a rushed product but it can go too far in the other direction and end up just as fucked.

Been a while since I popped in here. Have we talked about No Man's Sky yet? What a disappointment. I mean, I wasnt one of those people that expected it to be AMAZING or anything and didnt really have any expectations for the multiplayer aspect to be anything other than a 1 out of 10000000000000 chance of seeing some asshole fly by me and not realize it but damn... So many bad design choices with this one. Ill admit the first few hours were great but there was nothing to keep me coming back for more. I wish it would have done better because now people are absolutely shitting on the idea of procedural generated games and I think they have an important spot in the future mixed in with the handcrafted stuff. Ive been thinking about how awesome it would have been for example if after the main story of The Witcher 3, the invisible borderlines disappeared and you were allowed to wander past the game's "handcrafted" map into a nearly infinite procedurally generated world with little towns scattered about and simple quests to dick around with. Obviously it wouldnt be as good as the "real" game but it would have added a nice chunk of replayability and immersion.
Maybe some badass studio with some balls will take on what No Man's Sky did but have it take place on a few handcrafted solar systems with a good story and deep mechanics. After you beat that, the player is sent to explore the unknown universe as a sort of reward for beating the game. I guess what im saying is that the procedural stuff should not be the main focus for games at least not for a while. Give the players a nice chunk of good game and they will forgive you if the extra stuff isnt super well designed.

When you first start playing and see the shop don't be scared when you see that everything costs real life money. You can buy everything in the game through blueprints that are bought with in game money.

Anyone planning on playing the WOW expansion? Eventually. I've played every other expansion so I might as well play this one. I've heard it's really good so... I haven't played in a year so I guess I'll wipe the dust off.

I played that horde expansion a few years ago and it was HELL trying to log into a server. It was hour long waits for a couple days after the release so I'll wait a little while before giving it a shot this time.

I've just finished two games: Uncharted: Drake's fortune and The last of us. They are the second and third games I've played since not playing games for like...10 years, and I'm so glad I started again and got to experience them! Uncharted: Drake's fortune was one of the most fun games I've played and then I started playing The last of us...which now is one of the best game experiences I've had in my life. What a great, great game!

Which of the three Warframe starters do I choose if I like to play like a sniper/stealth? ExcaliburExcalibur is a great start frame with a mix of damaging abilities and crowd control abilities. He has a good balance of health and shields making him easier to mod for for survivability. Excalibur’s abilities can scale well into more difficult content later on, making him an excellent choice as a first frame. Mag
Mag is the second choice given. Her starting power does fair damage while also offering some Crowd Control. She has lower health, but compensates with much higher shields. If you’re playing solo, her high shields allow for fairly good survival, as long as you allow them to recharge when low. She works well in teams, especially once she gets her second ability, Shield Polarize. Early on in the game, she handles well as a support frame but transitions to other roles later on. VoltVolt is interesting in the fact he doesn’t focus damage, but acts as a caster frame. While being another Jack of All Trades frame, he has the highest base survivability of the three starters and has a damaging ability that offers crowd control in its proc. However, his first ability doesn’t have a cast range limit like the other two. His next two abilities that follow offer unique options for combat the other starters don’t have. www.tennoarmory.com/all-guides/basic-guides/starting-out-in-warframe/

Definitely hit up Uncharted 2 and 3. I still keep putting off playing TLOU. TLOU is disappointing. The story is actually very meh, the only character you end up really giving a shit about is Joel. The gameplay is really sluggish and it doesn't feel good to play at all. I've tried playing it twice (the second time was after playing Uncharted 2 and 3. My friend said give it another shot since I liked Uncharted) but it was just too much of a pain in the ass, so I just ended up watching a play through on Youtube. Was glad I didn't put the effort into playing it for that story.
