Definitely hit up Uncharted 2 and 3. I still keep putting off playing TLOU. TLOU is disappointing. The story is actually very meh, the only character you end up really giving a shit about is Joel. The gameplay is really sluggish and it doesn't feel good to play at all. I've tried playing it twice (the second time was after playing Uncharted 2 and 3. My friend said give it another shot since I liked Uncharted) but it was just too much of a pain in the ass, so I just ended up watching a play through on Youtube. Was glad I didn't put the effort into playing it for that story. I agree, the game was very average. The AI was stupid, the story was lame and that little kid was just annoying and rather poorly written. One minute she is joking about gay porn then next minute she is giving unrealistic, "give me an emmy award" pleas to Joel to not leave her. It was fucking stupid. I liked how it didn't have snap cover though...but other than that a very overrated game. |

BF1 looks really fun. Although I'm not sure why they chose World War 1. Is there even a map with trenches? The amount of SMGs is way too high.

I can just imagine a man in a suit standing up at a meeting "OK guys I've got it! WWII games oversaturated the market and are dead... but what if there was a prequel to World War 2?". I'm not complaining though, I'll take it over another modern shooter. I hope the campaign isn't a pile of shit though. |

I think Battlefield 1 is really fun, and downright beautiful. But the whole time I've been playing the beta my inner history nerd is just screaming "Why was this set in WW1?"
If they wanted this type of gameplay why not just do WW2? Now I'm going to have to be the guy telling a bunch of kids that this is not what WW1 was like while they scream "BATTLEFIELD IS SUPER REALISTIC!".
I think it's a good game and will probably pick it up, but the whole time I'm running around something just doesn't feel right. Why this setting? It's just a weird choice. Is it because they were afraid WW2 has been done too many times so they thought "Hmmm, it's close enough right? We will just load it with SMG's and semi-automatic rifles and no one will care"?
I think it's cool that they are bringing some attention to the conflict but I really think it was done the wrong way. If they were going to choose this war they should have gone all out and not this weird alternate reality version. Oh well at least I have Verdun.

Game plays in a very fast pace though, it needs to slow down a bit.
My biggest problem with the game is that it just doesn't feel like BF games somehow. i can't pin point what it is but something is off when it comes to movement and shooting which is the actual core of the game.

I knew I wasn't going to get ultra realism, but something close to the time period it's representing would have been nice. That being said this is my favorite BF game since 2142. Armored trains? Yes please. I love how the tanks feel powerful, even though they are as fast as an IndyCar for some reason. I do agree that the gameplay is a little bit too fast. But other than that I think it's really fun. The game is also fucking gorgeous. The sand storm is awesome! Also the horses are hilarious. |

Anyone playing WoW: Legion? I promised myself I wouldn't go back to WoW..but here I am. Great expansion and they have seriously amped up the graphics and sound design. I hate the new skill trees though, it's pretty bad.

Haven't played Battlefield 1 a lot yet, but it seems it's way harder than BF4. I can't get any kills. When I ride a horse, I have to stop running in order to get a shot at an enemy, and then I'm standing there like a prick, waiting for my eventual death.
It looks nice, I like it, I just hope I'll get better at it.
Also, I have a pretty good internet connection, but I still seem to get a lot of orange symbols on the side, just like in BF4. And I STILL don't know what they mean!
