I watched the Jimquisition on No Man’s Sky fans yesterday and over the dialogue was footage of the game. Who would pay £50 for that shite? Hipster's who like Proteus.

The best I read was you just wander around with your "shit sucking gun". And that really seems to be all there is to it. On a lighter note, here is some more Bioshock Collection.

So after playing No Mans Sky since its release on PC I can safely say that while the whole idea is cool, it quickly becomes a snore fest. Sometimes it can be really cool, but most of the time it's either boring or really annoying. Not to mention it's buggy as shit. I like the freedom of flying around pretty much wherever I want to go, but as far as survival games go once the shine of the unlimited planets goes away there is really nothing to it.
Most other survival games have a goal you are working towards, but this one really lacks something that I can't quite put my finger on. I'm sure it will get better as time goes on so I'm going to stop playing for a while and come back to it in a couple of months to see if it's any better.
If I know anything about survival games, it's that they take FOREVER to add enough things into the game to make it a worthwhile experience.
While we're on the topic of survival I must say the new devs that have been working on DayZ have made it infinitely more awesome. The engine still blows which gives them quite a hard time as far as development but I must say hopping into an RP server or joining one of the many online communities and setting out to the wilderness with a group of people to survive is really a great and interesting experience. The regular servers are a little annoying due to the fact that most people just kill on sight, but the RP servers make it a really fun game.

I really think they should have went the Minecraft route (and seemingly every open world survival game) -- release it in its current state as an Alpha for £20, then keep building on it (which they seemingly plan on doing) until it arbitrarily gets to 1.0. It would have sold just as well (probably much better at that price), and got a lot less negative press because they wouldn't be trying to pass off a thin, buggy game as a complete $60 product.
As it stands I'll probably pick it up in a year or so during a sale and after several major updates.

That intro is amazing and pretty much sums up the game perfectly.

Haven't followed this game at all, but the stuff that was promised makes it sound like a cool game.

So, what's the game if I want real space exploration, Star Citizen?

Anyone here on PS+ get an email from Sony saying PS+ was going up another $20 to $69CAD ($59USD) in September?
Here's the email
I'm not sure if this email is legit, something about the email itself seems fake. But if it's legit, that's bullshit. FOH, Sony.

Can't you just buy PS plus membership on eBay? I always get Xbox Gold there for half the price if buying it through Microsoft.

Nah, our dollar is too shit so it costs us even more to get it off ebay than what it's retail price is.

That intro is amazing and pretty much sums up the game perfectly. I can't believe it "ends" like that.....like seriously? All that work for sum bullshit! This is an incomplete game....I'll wait till all the DLC/patches/updates are completed in a couple years before I spend mulah on this crap!

It's just another misadvertised title , One Man's Lie as Joe put it, afraid they never even considered implementing stuff they mentioned pre release.the concept is just amazing but without story , proper alien AI , solid space battle , fun grinding and variety ...it just falls short. i would be very surprised if patches will make a huge difference since they have to "change" the core mechanic and infrastructure of the game. Throw in a story , better alien AI and creatures + more variety and it would be a dream come true. hopefully a bran new title done by a caring and capable company.

Thing is DICE LA is busy with their own shit now. wonder who is gonna save BF this time around lol. So it's going out broken? Stable performance but very unpolished gameplay.

So it's going out broken? Stable performance but very unpolished gameplay. Single player? 30 mins of Goldeneye that Mr Iwata blocked us from having. Hopefully now he's Brown bread it'll happen.

The only thing that gives me hope that they'll be able to speed up and expand the game's update cycle is that it seems to have sold very well. And this is a tiny team (15 people) and a low budget game. So they should be able to expand their studio massively now. Maybe they don't want to, but they really should. I think the root of the issues with all the misadvertising is that it started out as a mysterious indie game made by 4 people with just a trailer and one guys hopes and dreams. Then Sony offered them a big marketing deal and it took centre stage at several E3's; from that point on it was probably doomed to never live up to the grandiose expectations. They never helped themselves though by trying to get on top of those expectations; their messaging was at best incredibly vague and at worst a broken promise. 18 Quintillion worlds doesn't mean much when there isn't much to do on them. Minecraft also has 18 quintillion unique seeds; that's just the limit of the procedural generation math. Also, for the billionth time, stop pre-ordering games people.

I'm really sad that year after year goes by and we still don't have a new Brothers in Arms game. They keep saying they are working on it, but nothing.
I want a conclusion to the story. :-[

I want a conclusion to the story. :-[ That's the price you have to pay for a good game tho. Look at 'No Man's Sky'....seems like it coulda been a great game had they taken the time to really invest in a story, develop a multi-player and develop a battle system, etc etc.....that game had a couple of more years at least until the final product would have been complete but they rushed it....put it out waaaaay to soon and now it's getting slaughtered everywhere you look. Look at Mass Effect 3's ending, again....they needed a few more month's to fully flesh out that ending and deliver something more appropriate than what we got but they were rushing to not miss a deadline and because of that, we got that crap that we got. That's why I'm glad this upcoming Mass Effect keeps getting pushed back, I'm happy the Last Guardian has been under development for years, I'm happy a Breath of Wild still has a year to go even though the hours and hours of game play displayed at this year's E3 looked fantastic! The time being invested in these games suggest that they are going to be great!!! If they were being rushed and just popping these out every year...I would be less enthusiastic...

Oh I completely agree but it seems like as far as this game goes it may never actually be released. There is even talks that the next game might be a reboot which would make me cry because the first three game are about a group of people's story and it didn't have a conclusion, and after almost a decade of waiting for this next part that might be the thing that pushes me over the edge and I will turn into a mad man that talks about COCKS all day on an Internet message board.
