So No Man's Sky is very grindy and not as massive as it was hyped up to be. But still a good game, if you like endlessly gathering resources it's the game for you.

So close to release and there is a lot of people who still don't know what the fuck it is your supposed to do in this game (including me). It's such a failure in that respect. After seeing some people play on twitch, all I'm seeing is people firing a laser and rocks and plants then flying places with a countdown timer. Looks pretty boring to me

Another over hyped game that fails to deliver.
As someone put it on twitch:
"It feels like you are just endlessly walking through randomly generated wallpapers and looking at plants."

It's not bad by any means, it just makes you feel like "What the fuck am I doing?" after a few hours. It's just another boring survival game but made to look really beautiful graphically. I'd imagine it would be the best game ever if you were really high.

Went back to collecting crafting bullshit. Pretty much. When game companies talk about creating these huge open games I sigh at this point because I know we are going to get a huge world that you can explore for hours like they promised, but they always forget to mention that because of the time and resources spent making this world they have no time or space to make fun things to do in it. So at the end of the day when the "coolness" factor wears off you realize you have been doing absolutely nothing but saying "oooooh, ahhhhh" the whole time you have been playing and nothing else. What happened to fun? What's the point of a huge world with nothing to do in it.

It's always looked like a crafting/survival game so if you find those boring, then this ain't gonna be any different. My biggest concern was always how repetitive it'd get after a while and how wide a variety of things to do there is. I think, given that it's going to have an update cycle like Minecraft where there are multiple free large updates a year, it's probably best waiting a while before picking it up.
I put like 50 hours into Elite last year which isn't actually too dissimilar. A lot of people find that boring too; it's essentially Euro Truck Simulator in space with dogfighting. I love it though.

I really like Euro Truck Simulator, and I'm not sure why. It's a good game to kick back and relax with. A good review!

Im hoping it gets delayed really , they are pushing it way too mindlessly and its just such shame after all the trust they gained fixing BF4 in 2 years after release. unbelievable. im not gonna write them off just yet , they have around 1 week to do all the so called "dev magic"before content lock.

I've probably sunk maybe 15 hours into No Man's Sky so far. Loving it. It's not for everyone but it's definitely for me. Eventually it probably will get a bit boring. Every game does. But for the moment I'm just finding more and more to like. Exploration, crafting, massive worlds, and a bit of combat (those fucking space pirates!). Plus fuck loads more content to come and patches to improve things.
Yes, it is a fantastic game to play while high as fuck, but it's equally as good when sober.

The thing I don't get about the next patch is they said it contains base building, which made me go "that's cool" because it seems to be missing some of the creative stuff that other open world survival games have. But aren't you generally only on a planet for a very short amount of time because the game is about moving forward? What would be the point of building a base? Also, given the performance reports of the PC version I'm definitely holding off on buying it. They seem to be pushing out patches quickly but I'll probably wait for the Steam winter sale.

Hearts of Iron IV might be the hardest game I've ever played, but boy is it fun.

I watched the Jimquisition on No Man’s Sky fans yesterday and over the dialogue was footage of the game. Who would pay £50 for that shite?

Call of duty has reached a new low. There aren't even soldiers in it. That isn't Call of duty, I refuse to believe that.

They whip a Call of Duty badge on it. I hate the way "Call of Duty" is used on anything other than WW2. It fecking mean't something then.

This better come out on PC. If I remember correctly, the PC ports for the first one and Mortal Kombat werent initially planned, right? There's hope, right?
