Nintendo just had their investors meeting. Zelda delayed until next year. Devoed. NX launching in March 2017. I know, I just reading this now What are they thinking? Sitting out for another whole year?? It defies all logic. |

Basically, e3 will be all about Zelda which is getting a march 2017 release on both the Wii U and the NX. I mean, It will be nice to have a good launch title for the nx but I feel like the game could easily be released this holiday season and they are just holding it off for the NX. It's twilight princess all over again.

This holiday season we might get a yet to be announced game from e3. |

I am pretty satisfied with all my Wii U games. It's probably because I have a ps4 and a PC to keep me busy in between big gap in Nintendo titles though. Ive gotten about 2-3 good titles per year. I just feel a bit let down because I bought my Wii U for Zelda U back in like 2011. I mean, if you would have told me that 2 new Star Wars movies, a Guns N Roses reunion, and Donald Trump running for president and a new Nintendo console would happen before the new Zelda came out. I would have laughed in your face. Despite that, I really hope Nintendo doesnt fuck up the NX. They have Zelda as a launch title now. The world is watching, they better get their shit together. I wonder when they are gonna give details? I guess they will announce a direct or something sometime soon. |

The problem for me, is that it seems like so many games were just a rehash of old ideas on the Wii U. I know that's a common dig at Nintendo for people, and I generally don't agree with it, but this time I think it was true. New Super Mario Bros. Looked great, but really didn't bring anything new to the table. Super Smash Bros lost my interest very quickly. Two Zelda remakes. The only game I can say I really enjoyed was Mario Kart. So for me the Wii U was a huge miss. |

But I think there was enough originality. Splatoon, Bayonetta, Mario Maker was perfect with the gamepad, the Zelda remakes work great with a touchscreen, Hyrule Warriors, Mario 3D World, the definitive version of Deus Ex Human Revolution, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and Im loving Starfox Zero at the moment. Starfox Guard is fun with friends over. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and im not even mentioning the digital only titles/indie stuff that is great but flies under everyone's radar.

Picked up a new 360 for $129.
Plus bought second hand copies of CoD2, CoD4, World at War, Black Ops and Black Ops 2 for $78.
Pretty pumped to play through my favourite series again, and my intention is to hold onto it all this time for prosperity.

I'm trying to remain open about Doom. Thing is, the original games formed such an integral part of my gaming foundations, it's impossible for anything to live up to my image of what a modern Doom game should be.
I actually quite enjoyed Doom 3 in the end. I'm hoping this one will be at least as good as that. And I'm hoping they do the arch-vile better than they did in Doom 3. The original arch-vile is still the most unnerving enemy I've played against in a video game, but in D3 it was just shit.

Wouldn't be surprised if they scrapped Zelda for the Wii U all together. It was developed for the Wii U, that wouldn't make sense. Their plan to release it on both systems makes sense from a business perspective, but I don't like it. |

I think it was a good move by Nintendo after reading into it. From what was said they are very focused on making sure their launch is packed with titles, or that was the gist I gathered from it. I think it's silly to assume game systems have to launch at Christmas when other tech companies release at different points in the year.
I've got a good feeling...but I'm also a Nintendo fanboy.

The new Call of Duty trailer is out.
It's some Star Wars like thing and looks awful. The internet is universally hating it, of course, but also will buy it because it comes with a remaster of Call of Duty 4.
You know your series has gone to shit, when you have to offer a remastered fan favourite from 9 years ago to try to sell copies of your latest installment.
I'm just happy I have a 360 to play CoD4 on.
