I'm not sure if him struggling to describe the album at the end of that comment makes me excited or worried.

I still have no idea what to expect. I've heard them describe albums before and what I imagine each time is way off; however, I'm very intrigued like always:)

Yeah, that news in theory sounds really good, but I'm not getting excited at all about it. I'd prefer to see for myself if it's actually "diverse" or not.

"It's a bit more varied"
Everyone freaks out that they can ONLY be doing Load 3 as if the band couldn't possibly do anything other than metal or southern rock.

It'll probably be in the line of what Lulu sounded like musically. Those Dragon type riffs etc Best t hopefully a bit more thought out.

I'd rather have Load 3 than DM 2.

I just hope we don't get something similar to Maiden's Empire of the Clouds, damn that shit was cheesy.

Country and hard-rock. Load all over ... And I'd be just fine with that. As would I. As long as it wasn't forced and it was just what they naturally wrote.

Load 3 with 10 killer songs and not 28.
Who wouldn't want that ?
A few " Wasting My Hate " a couple of " Ain't My Bitch " an " Outlaw Thorn " a " Where The Wild Things Are " and a " Bleeding Me "
VS
10 x " My Apocalypse or Broken Beat And Scarred.

I was with you until an "Outlaw Torn" and a "Bleeding Me". That sounds almost as horrible as an "All Nightmare Long".

Jokes on you "J".

They seem to be as far away from Load style music now as they were from Master of Puppets when theu made Load.
It's a shame, I'd love some simple mid-tempo hard rock style songs on the new album, or some well thought out ballads.

I was with you until an "Outlaw Torn" and a "Bleeding Me". Two of their best songs. Two of their worst in my opinion, along with the aforementioned shitshow called All Nightmare Long. I was with you until an "Outlaw Torn" and a "Bleeding Me". That sounds almost as horrible as an "All Nightmare Long". And yet Load 3 would be a "dream come true"? You do realize that those two "horrible" songs are on Load, right? Yes. Load 3 would be a dream come true if they did it in the vein of the good songs on those albums. But to be honest, I'd rather have them do a bleedingme or an outlawtorn than an allnightmarelong.

Your opinion is wrong.
Bleeding Me, The Outlaw Torn and All Nightmare Long are three of the best songs the band have released over the last 20 years.

I respectfully disagree in the strongest possible manner. There are maybe 5 or 6 Metallica songs I almost always skip, and those three are among them.

Let me guess....Master of Puppets, Creeping Death and Harvester of Sorrow?! I kid, I kid. It is interesting that you like other songs on Load, just not Bleeding and Outlaw. What is it about these songs you dislike? I do love All Nightmare Long, but I understand why some people wouldn't. It is fairly disjointed and and pieced together.

You kinda just referenced what most people believe the be the two best songs from Load and the best song from DM. I do know that, and it never ceases to baffle me. Mind you, I disliked those songs before I joined the MetBB, and when I found out that those two Load songs are favorites among the users, I couldn't believe it. The fact that ANL is considered the best song on DM was already known to me, but it doesn't perplex me any less. I respectfully disagree in the strongest possible manner. There are maybe 5 or 6 Metallica songs I almost always skip, and those three are among them. What are the other songs you skip? Let me guess....Master of Puppets, Creeping Death and Harvester of Sorrow?! I kid, I kid. It is interesting that you like other songs on Load, just not Bleeding and Outlaw. What is it about these songs you dislike? I do love All Nightmare Long, but I understand why some people wouldn't. It is fairly disjointed and and pieced together. I see you jest, but I'll answer anyway: not a big fan of Seek & Destroy, Fade to Black, Sanitarium, Better Than You, Attitude, The Unnamed Feeling and The Day That Never Comes. Usually I skip those. The last two Metallica gigs I attended I left early because of Seek being the final song. I can't stand it. I don't actively hate Fade and Sanitarium, they are both just kinda bland. Better Than You and Attitude are filler fluff, The Unnamed Feeling is kinda like Fade and Sanitarium, bland and lifeless. TDTNC is an ugly mess. If I had to list the Bottom 5 Metallica songs, they would be: 5. Attitude 4. The Day That Never Comes 3. The Outlaw Torn 2. Bleeding Me 1. All Nightmare Long Seriously, I hate everything about ANL. Like you said, the disjointed feel kills it for me. It's the worst case of frankensteinitis which plagued Death Magnetic - an incoherent, badly stitched-together bunch of riffs and parts that sound like they belong into 8 different songs. If I never heard it again in my life, it would make the world just a tiny bit better for me. Bleeding Me and Outlaw Torn are slow, boring, plodding and never seem to end. And it's not that I don't like slower, moodier or longer Metallica songs - I absolutely love ...And Justice For All, Fixxxer and Low Man's Lyric, all of the instrumentals are awesome, and I like Some Kind Of Monster. Man, even Tuesday's Gone is pretty cool. But Bleeding and Outlaw, they're just... Blehhh. If I had to choose between the two, I'd probably listen to Outlaw, though. The intro riff is decent, and the bassline sounds pretty cool during the verses.
