Mixing and mastering should take about a month in total.
Two months at the most.
I wonder if they've picked a single and will mix / master that first for release ?
September is looking food for the album. November maybe at the latest ?

I would say November as the latest yeah, I gotta say I'm getting pretty damn exited, we are approaching an awesome time as a Metallica fan. It's feels like it only happens once a decade, which is pretty much correct. |

Anyway, I kind of hope the album doesn't come out until 2017 because i feel like I cheated the album wait. Less than a year while you guys have been waiting 8 years seems kinda unfair. And also mainly because I feel like i might be spoiled and the wait for the next album might be unbearable to me because I'm used to waiting a year at most.

I think they are going to put in extra hours to make sure this one sounds the best it can. They know this one has to knock it out of the park as it may well be the last album and in sure they want to go out on a high note,if they choose to not do anything else or cosmic forces prevent them from doing another album any time soon.

So there's a November crowd. That's awfully close to 2017.
I just don't want to set myself up to be disappointed. Sounds like there could be a business justification for delaying it. Not sure if it's the MOP set, tour timing, who knows. Just because it's done, doesn't mean it's going to immediately come out.

The iTunes remaster shows how great Death Magnetic could have been if they'd got it right first time. Obviously we all want the new album to sound *at least* as good as Ronnie Rising. Composed solos, great sonics, crunchy guitars and vocal HARMONIES. |
