The slow breakdown section towards the end of Spit really annoys me. It's so unnecessary. It reminds me of the same unnecessary slow/breakdown section they put at the end of Hate Train. but it kind of hits me like a big piece of machinery chugging away
I actually do dig the part at the end of the breakdown when it slows WAY the fuck down.
What I imagine every single time I listen to the song, the slowing down part is what makes it even greater to me. It's not just generic 101 "let's play as fast as we can for 5 min stuff"  |

I used to think that the slower part dragged the song down too, but now I've learned to accept and appreciate it.

About damn time haha. Also that riff sounds absolutely dreadful with the original demo's timing, even though it's the same notes. It's cool how much some simple timing changes can shift a song so much.

I think this was one of the most interesting videos because of the difference between the demo and the studio version. |

^ now who would really want that riff origin CD if that's what it was. I'm much happier with the disc 3 I got even though it has yet to leave it's case.

If they where actual demos, I would be very interested. But as far as I know, they where just riffs that where turned into songs and recorded. They skipped the demos this time around and recorded everything as they wrote using the riffs as a starting point.
