She did get us beer a few times so better than expected. I have pretty mean hangovers today and I'm at work, so that sucks. Show was as expected, very predictable set list. The highlight was spit and the kirk/rob jam of a Gasolin classic - Rabalderstræde Only predictable because you follow their every move online. Cure your addiction, Kimbo Actually I haven't followed their touring since around DM :P

Killer performance! Love the way he growled that last lie! Yeah good performance. Have noticed before that Lars has stopped doing the triplets in the fast section and just does 2 single beats now. Actually it looks like he's still doing them (look at his left foot and the left bass drum's beater moving) but it almost sounds like it's not getting picked up properly by the mic for some strange reason.

“Yeah it’s definitely the microphones not picking up the bass drum properly”
Every Metallica fan since 2004.

You're not exactly wrong, but in this case he's definitely doing something with both his feet, so I'm assuming it's not just inability to play the original bit (which, being honest, is dead easy and he has no excuse) that's the issue here.
Oh how I do miss those LiveMetallica days when the mix was so bad you genuinely couldn't tell if Lars was playing the bass drum at all. These days it's painfully obvious how awful his footwork is.

These local song jams are really cool. I can't wait to hear what they play in Finland!

He always uses both feet, the left one is just rarely on the pedal

They're doing this for the Garage Days release for Record Store Day. Pretty spiffy.
That being said, they need to play Crash Course In Brain Surgery again.

Less than a month now until I will see them again! My third time in total and my first indoor show of theirs. Don't feel the excitement just yet but hopefully it'll show up eventually. Is there a certain spot I should aim for when choosing where to stand? I want to be as close to the members as possible. I'm guessing anywhere where there's a mic is the best bet...?

Anywhere near the rails is the best lol :D But attending double gig in Antwerp last year, to my surprise, the conclusion is: seats are better than floor (and I was in the front row).

Anywhere at the rail is really good, but you will feel close even if you are in the fifth row. If you happen to get to the rail then look for either a mic or a wah pedal :)

The videos posted in the last day or so have been awesome. Even Kirk is sounding great!
Best Fade To Black that I’ve heard in a while.

Great stuff, kirk got a little lost though towards the end of the solo. Guess he was too caught up in the moment.

There really is no point in releasing dvd's anymore. Agreed. Blu-rays are far superior to DVD's.

Is that a new acoustic in that Fade 2018 vid?
Or maybe new artwork running across the bottom of an old one?

I really hope they keep these in the sets for the next stretch of US dates. Should be really interesting if they do.
