It was good! Not as good as The Force awakens, but good enough. It took me a while to get into the movie though, but after that it kept getting better and more entertaining. The music was something that bugged me a little at times, 'cause although it did feel Williams-esque and did the job it didn't quite get me into the mood/as pumped up (as easily) as John Williams' music does in the earlier movies. I'm glad there was at least some of the original music in it as well.

Just watched Rogue One at the cinema...not good people, it's worse than Force Awakens...save your cash for something else.

Oh, I've read nothing about the movie before seeing it so didn't know that. Pretty good indeed then or well, at least under the circumstances.

I thought it was great! Better than Force! It does start off slow but it gets so immersive towards the end.

Just got out. Well it's certainly a war film. Was it spot on or a bit pants? It really ties episode 4 together. But it's very different to all the other movies, it's "feel" will throw you off. It's definitely a see twice movie, I reckon. Just as well the picture cut off for 30 seconds or so when I saw it, so the manager gave us free tickets to watch it again.

People saying it's as good as Empire Strikes Back need their heads examined.

I loved it. It's not character driven by any means, but it's very entertaining. I would say it's made for the more dedicated Star Wars fans, with all those fan service moments. There's no way someone could go watch this with no Star Wars knowledge and understand the importance of what's going on, so I could see where people will not like this movie.
That third act, especially the last ten minutes is insane. It was also really nice to see the shadier, darker side of the Rebel Alliance.

Finally saw it, it was good.
The first half was meh, characters were forgettable. The last act of the movie is the best Star Wars we have ever seen. Fight me.

Just saw it for the second time. I love how much more nuance and ambiguity it had than your classic Star Wars movie. They explored the moral greyness that comes with being a rebel insurgent (maybe not a lot, but certainly more than average).
Also very glad I didn't watch any trailers before seeing this. I had to stop myself from whooping when the AT-ATs revealed themselves.
I'll leave a full review later.

Probably the worst cast of characters since Final Fantasy X. Okay that's a lie, I did like KS20.
Other than that, it's one of those movies where they don't give you reason to care about the characters. Okay that's another lie, I was a little bummed at the ending but only cause Jynn is a babe. It's always the attractive one that gets got.

Just saw Rogue One for the first time. I liked it.
It was really interesting to see the rebels in Vaguely-middle-eastern City being portrayed like, well, terrorists, really. Guerrilla warfare, ambushes, roadside bombs, you name it. Also, the choices they made were less about heroism and more about survival, which was a nice change of pace. All in all, it was nice to see a Star Wars movie actually depict proper warfare.
The CGI faces on Tarkin and Leia were almost on the other side of the uncanny valley, but not quite. Leia felt more natural and "real", but she had really limited screen time. It's pretty unreal how good the facial CGI is now.
One thing I feel was a distraction was the amount of characters they crammed into one movie. It was a bit overwhelming at times, although I think I'd be more okay with it on a second viewing.
The end battle was up there with the best scenes in Star Wars history, IMO. And Vader being Vader in the end was kickass.
All in all, a really good addition to the saga. A solid 4/5.

Did you do a little whimper when Leia appeared? Or was that just me?
