I agree with Alan, I liked Rey very much and having another chick doing the sameish thing as her, in the same universe... Not really. I would have loved a Star Wars action sci fi movie with no prominent leads, just a pure spectacle with trying to play too much on emotions No leads would have been perfect.

And besides, having a lot of female leads is a good thing. I guess this is the part I never get in these discussions...it isn't good or bad to me, it just sort of is. What I don't like, is that any time it is a female lead, people will be accused of promoting a sexist culture if they say it isn't good. Look at that Ghostbusters debacle...it looked terrible, but if you posted such a thought you were usually accused of sexism, as opposed to just not liking a bad trailer.

I didn't like Rey and i think the lead from Rogue is in the same vein. My issue isn't necessarily that the action hero is female but the character be believable. Sigourney Weaver is great in Aliens/Aliens, as is Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs and the Sarah Conor character in Terminator is fantastic, their roles work because they are mature as people imo. However a female teenanger beating trained Jedi and taking on the Galactic Empire just doesn't work for me, don't ask me why but i just can't buy into it.

But do you buy into her mastering flying the Millennium Falcon in minutes?

I'll agree shies a bit too much of a "Mary Sue" and I'll add that she's a relatively novice actor and she'll probably settle into the part, be less hyper etc... But this is a Disney film and it shows. Could be worse...

I've just watched all the extra material from the bonus disc of The force awakens. It was really fun/interesting! That's my Saturday night entertainment, how long is it? The main documentary is 67 minutes. Then there's maybe 4-5 shorter documentaries that are about 7-9 minutes long each, and maybe 1 or 2 more that are shorter than that. Last but not least there are 5 (I think) deleted scenes, that are between 30-60 seconds long, so in total...about 2 hours of entertainment. : D

Still unhappy about Disney's feminist agenda. No surprise a girly is in charge of Lucasfilm now.

Another one of those videos where you get the joke in the first 30 seconds but for some reason it's over 5 minutes of it. 00:30 Yeah I get the joke. 08:00 Jfc i get it. Also see any "College Humour" video - basically one joke stretched to 5 minutes +

Also see any "College Humour" video - basically one joke stretched to 5 minutes + The thing with this video (and similar ones) is that you don't know beforehand what he (Vader/young Anakin) is gonna reply with so it doesn't get old for me. I know the concept from the start but that doesn't mean I don't find the actual conversations funny. That's where most of the humor lies for me. Using young Anakin's voice instead of the original one is the concept but that in itself is not the main thing I find funny in this video. It's the tools but it's not the joke for me.

Why do people like his reviews? I'm 30 minutes in and nothing has even been said yet about TFA.
