Um you did see the end of empire didn't you...if it wasn't for the force connection between Vader and Luke he probably would have thought he suffered the same fate... I'm not saying any of this applies, just that it's a damn fantasy movie not a biopic! Just enjoy the laser show |

If my memory serves well, the first one was not received well but 2nd and 3rd got good perception.

I'm not going to see TROS, I refuse to waste my money. the characters just aren't there. You need to lighten up a bit If the story sucks ass, which it did for TLJ, saying, "Hey, it's only a fantasy story, lighten up!" doesn't really mean anything. Fantasy can suck too if it's not done well. |

Well, I'm not "boycotting" the film (boycotting would imply I actually give a shit either way, which I never really did about Star Wars), but I just find it so funny how anyone NOT in Disney's pocket is saying, "Okay, the film looks great, but the story is a mess", and anyone obviously in Disney's pocket says, "BRILLIANT CONCLUSION!" Film criticism in 2019 is a pile of dog shit, and absolutely not to be trusted. See the movie and decide for yourself, kids. |

I wouldn't say I'm boycotting it, I just don't give a sh*t about the story like you. The Force Awakens set up something pretty good even though it ripped off A New Hope. now I don't care about the new characters they introduced as they just haven't developed them. Rey, Finn couldn't give a toss now. Phasma should've kicked Finn's ass in TLJ as the guy couldn't even get past Rose to an escape pod. |

So now I've seen it...
...And I loved it! I felt excited throughout most of the movie, got goosebumps several times, got to laugh a lot and towards the end of it I was moved to tears. I'm not sure if that has happened for me with a Star Wars movie before.
Such an entertaining and beautiful movie. <3
I'm so glad I somehow was able to avoid more or less all the spoilers before seeing it!
Looking forward now to seeing it again. : D

I also watched The Last Jedi today, for the first time since seeing it in the theaters.
I chose to watch a fan edit. Why you may ask? I couldn't see how they would be able to make it that much worse to be honest.
Gladly it was at least a bit better than I thought it was the first time I saw it.
It still is one of my biggest sequel disappointments though, but I'm glad that I enjoyed it a little more this time around.
What I'm most glad about however is that J.J. Abrams got to do the last one. I felt confident that he would be able to get the saga back on track despite the let-down of The Last Jedi, and he definitely did!
