Once Upon a time in Hollywood It was ok, could have been better. Just as things were getting exciting at the end it kind of abruptly ended. There was so much opportunity to have more interaction between crazy characters. Manson for instance only appears in the film for 30 seconds. Tarantino could have gone into full on crazy mode and had Manson fight Bruce Lee or something lol. I liked it, one of the best films i've seen in ages.

Pet Sematary (the 2019 version): a pretty good horror story but it differs from the book. The director probably chose for more drama. The movie also leaves opoen room for a sequel.

"The Girl With All The Gifts" on Netflix.
Very cool and refreshing take on the zombie genre. Well written, great cast, and very intriguing. The tone is very soft but keeps you on the edge of your seat. A few questionable parts towards the end, but overall a great little zombie flick. Has a nice "Outer limits" vibe.

1917 is decent, but it seemed like more of a quest movie than an epic war film -- despite the setting.

I saw it yesterday and found it to be boring. you are right about it being a quest movie, most of the time we watch the main character running to a destination. I found it boring I watched Parasite last Friday and it was ok but not worth Best Picture imo.

I watched Parastie last Friday and it was ok but not worth Best Picture imo. One of the most memorable movies I've watched lately. I'm glad that I knew almost nothing about the story before watching it.

Castle in the Sky Kiki's Delivery Service
Not the best Ghibli offers I've seen, but still lovely and full of replay value.

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot...
Hmmm... I can't tell if this is a parody of woke reboots or it is a woke reboot, even though Brody explains why woke reboots are shit.
And Finger cuffs is old as fuck 😳

Porco Rosso
Curious choice making the protagonist openly sexist, but the movie has a lot of heart and ends quite nicely.
Parasite
Awesome movie in all regards, from story to photography, music and uniformly superb acting.
1917
I've played better secondary quests in videogames.

Pretty good film about a young man battling drug addiction.
Uncut Gems
A bit overrated but it was entertaining enough.

Of the 10 nominees for the Best Picture Oscar, I've seen Parasite, OUAT...IH and Joker. They were all fantastic, but I think Joker was the best one by a slim margin, the Parasite, then Tarantino.
