I love how the main riff in Blackened sounds like two completely different riffs when played with different drum beats. Here's my attempt at something similar:

It's a ripoff of a Mastodon riff played with dirty old pod farm/ezdrummer/free bass plugin. No mixing or mastering etc. There was also a solo which I deleted so it's very repetative.
Like everything else on my SoundCloud page, it's just unpolished ideas, some more thought out than others.
