I'm going to play it through again when I finish, see how it plays out being good and being pure evil and such, see how the story changes. I got the special edition, came with the CD soundtrack, some amazing acoustic music on that album. I think I saw Pewdiepie playing this a few months ago. Probably gonna download it on Steam this weekend or something since everyone is saying it's so good.... Bring your tissues ;)

I don't think it's amazing or anything, but it's good fun for the most part. There are a couple of things about it that kind of irk me and detract from the overall experience a fair bit. Not enough to make it a bad game, but it could have been much better.

I haven't really played any games in like... 15 years or so... I might try out the new Doom for PC, just to feel like a kid again

I'm having fun following the NX build up. I usually don't track systems like this, but it's a neat experience.

I'm having fun following the NX build up. I usually don't track systems like this, but it's a neat experience. Any concrete info on this? I dunno, every time a system comes out, Nintendo and Nintendo fans say how this time will be different, third party companies will fully support the system. The problem is that they always want to do something different than the competition, which is great for the fans, but on the other hand, the third parties have no interest in porting over to a system that's entirely different to develop for than PS and XBox. I could be talking out of my ass, but that's my take on it. That being said, I'm always interested in buying a Nintendo console, because the first party games are, more often than not, stellar.

Plenty of rumors, not a lot of concrete anything though. They seem very focused on having a solid software lineup from the little they've said.

The only remotely believable source has said it is not even Xbox One in power and is ARM, combine that with Neo and Xbox 2, of which the Neo is only concrete, then NX has more chance of playing pick up sticks with it's bum cheeks than getting any third party ports.
If true then you have Wii U2 for the next 5 years... Actung Baby indeed....

I haven't found any remotely believable sources on spec info, good or bad.

To be fair the new NVidia 1080/1070 cards make even the updated Xbox One/PS4 look like a joke. £350 for a card that outperforms the current best GPU on the market, the Titan X (£800). I don't think consoles have ever looked more unappealing.

Well there's no doubt if specs are your thing then PC is the way to go.
But specs aren't really my thing...though I do go with PC over anything else these days.

I don't generally seek out the best specs, I usually find the best balance of price/performance, but those new card benchmarks are insane. There's just little excitement in the console area anymore; last-gen the consoles were relatively well spec'd from day 1. They introduced a ton of people to online gaming and the stuff that comes along with it like indie games so they felt fresh and ever evolving. Third parties were pumping out a ton of new IP and first parties were at their strongest. This gen just feels really limp. There's no excitement from a hardware or software perspective. There's still exclusive gems, of course, they just seem far fewer and they're more often than not sequels to games created last gen.
It's not just specs though; PC is getting a ton of great, new exclusives and more importantly it gets digital pricing right making the games not only perform and look much better, but cost a lot less too. Plus you can pretty much make your PC a console now with practically everything supporting Xbox/Playstation controllers and able to boot into Steam Big Picture mode. My friend does that with a PC he has exclusively hooked up to his TV like a console. I want to be excited by a console again, I just don't see it happening this gen.

Yes most of my gaming is done on the TV with a computer hooked up in the living room. Played a whole lot of Stardew Valley recently that way. My wife is literally playing The Sims 4 right now that way. Pirated mind you, because no game and it's content is worth 400 dollars.
But I've had an epic amount of fun out of the Wii U. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Mario 3D World were two of the best games of those series I've played. Mario Maker was extremely fun up fool with, though it did lose some interest for me after a few weeks. I hadn't played Windwaker, so technically for me that was a fantastic Wii U title. Yoshi's Wooly World is now my favorite Yoshi game as well.

I am so confused about all of this console stuff going on right now. Can someone sum it up for me? I haven't bought a console from this generation yet because I have a pretty good PC.

Nintendo is being Nintendo and trying to not be XBOX or PS. This isn't so great in a console world obsessed with Xbox and PS.
PS and Xbox seem to be heading in the direction Nintendo and Sega were during the bit wars, with each one trying to one up the other, and Sony usually coming out on top from the little I can gather. They've now decided they both want to release new hardware again.
Or something like that, I really can't say I'm an expert on any of it, but that's the little I've picked up.

New hardware already? Are the games going to work on both consoles? Seems like a good way to piss of your fan base.

Went ahead and bought Doom. Everyone I talked to told me the campaign is great, MP is so-so. Now it's gonna take me like 3 days to download this monster. 43.8GB!

Totally, the Wii U had an admirable number of solid exclusives; it was definitely the best of the 3 consoles to complement a PC (assuming you like Nintendo games). Just a shame Nintendo is old fashioned when it comes to hardware & OS/online features. Still excited to see what the NX is though; perhaps they've learned from their mistakes (I'm not holding my breath). It'll still have great games regardless.

Beat Uncharted 4 taking my time checking all the corners for treasures and enjoying the landscapes! took me 25 hours and it didn't disappoint. Story and concept wise it's probably the best uncharted or atleast as good as Among Thieves but the execution and pacing is not as solid. There are a few problems though making me put it on 3rd place out of 4 titles in my list: 1-LACK OF SULLIVAN! understandable as the guy is old and shoudn't participate in all fights and shit but his absence in majority of the game is not cool.
2-QTE FINAL BOSS FIGHT? seriously?
3-AI goes apeshit too often
4-Bad checkpoints

I bought the original DOOM on xbone BC last night, was only £3, and within 15 minutes I'm thinking "oh so it's the fun that's been missing from modern shooters " what a great game. I'll have to buy 2 now.
