I haven't played it, but a friend of mine raved about it for months on end. Said it's very similar to Final Fantasy V.

Anybody try Bravely Default? I'm also curious of anyone has tried this game! Cwutididthur The first half of Bravely Default is amazing. Brilliant music, great characters and the combat system is fast and fun. I also have to give props to how you can lower or raise the difficulty in game and turn off random encounters or increase the chances. BUT.... The last half of the game is a complete fucking mess story wise. You pretty much have to repeat the first half of the game about 3-4 times. Yes you read the correctly. I am talking the exact same bosses and areas. However if that doesn't bother you and you just want excellent gameplay, graphics, sound and job system then go ahead. It is a great game |

Is there not a demo for Bravely Default on the eShop? Haven't got my 3DS to hand but pretty sure I gave it a quick play a while ago.

Gonna get my hands on PS4 Neo in a month , really curious to see how its gonna affect games and how devs actually approach it. wont be surprised if they say fuck all to old ps4 optimization to make it run like crap so everyone goes and buy the next one. even if not paid by sony , likely to happen by lazy devs.

It's not so much the graphics but the art-style. The more cartoony look reminds me of a free to play iOS game. It's the devs behind the Civ V expansions though so I expect the gameplay to be top notch.

I bought some kontrol freeks for my controllers recently. Not sure if anyone knows about them but they're basically extensions to the thumb sticks. More height supposedly = increased movement and sensitivity = greater precision. Seemed like a gimmick but most people seemed to say they work as described. I'm shocking at aiming on consoles, so worth a shot.
I'm undecided. The only game they really apply to, for me, is Destiny. Aiming is so much smoother, but that means I'm having to re-learn how to aim, since I had adapted to the twitchy shooting I felt the stock controller required. But my statistical performance has actually improved, even though I don't feel like I'm playing any better. Still early days though!
Regardless of that though, they're really comfortable! I can play for ages without any discomfort, and I don't have to readjust my thumbs unnecessarily because of slippage or anything.

I bought my brother the Xbox Elite Controller for his birthday. I tried it out, it feels great. The build quality is much better, and it feels strong and study like the Xbox 360 controller.
The rubber grips and adjustable triggers and joysticks are great. The number one thing I like about it though is that you can reduce he brightness of the damn Xbox button/logo... That thing is like a spotlight on the regular controller!
I've heard the Doom single player is really fun. I have no self control, I'll be picking it up after work in a few hours.

Do it !!! Doom single player is a fuck ton of fun. The MP isn't too bad either, they have some stupid things in it but the overall gunplay is fun. If you want a modernised Doom 2 then go for it.

I got it running ultra on PC master race and it is a frantic delight to look at. This and Wolfenstein: new order are definitely the best FPS games in the past decade

Played the beta and it was meh! I mean they did a fantastic job getting all the heroes somehow useful and cool ( hate that fucking tracer though) and the gunplay seems to be super solid but its just not enough. small choke pointy maps and it requires a 24/7 of atleast 3-4 friends ....playing it alone is terrible.

There's people from all over the world here so it would be easy to find someone to group up with no matter what time you might want to get on and play! |
