One thing that hasn't been mentioned I think: They use the old logo again. I guess that's a sign that the Hardwired era is coming to/has come to an end.

Best thing about the countdown was Jaysee's posts.
Crap time for an announcement I give zero fucks about. It doesnt sit well that new dates are put out there when the band is currently in limbo.
I'm not so sure this is a hint that James and co are aware how long he will be missing for. I can't imagine anyone in their camp putting a circle on a calendar for when they expect to see James back.
Will be a poor look if they have to cancel gigs that are announced during rehab time.....way different to postponing the Aus/NZ leg and other dates previously locked in.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned I think: They use the old logo again. I guess that's a sign that the Hardwired era is coming to/has come to an end. It's not billed as WorldWired, but the Metallica site does call the American festival leg a part of that tour. I think the South American leg was announced as WW so that probably still is considered a part of the album tour but I think the NA dates will end up being billed as Metallica -XX- or something, but also referred to as being part of the WorldWired slate. So, basically, it's complicated. Wikipedia seems to count all the 2020 dates for the WW tour, at least.
Either way, I'm not expecting much material from the album next year, so in a way I guess you could call this the last year of the Hardwired album tour. I think they might debut Am I Savage but I'm not sure they'll even keep Hardwired as the opener anymore. It's so bizarre they're still touring an album released in 2016 to begin with.

Until a new album comes out, it'll always still be considered 'HWTSD' era.

Best thing about the countdown was Jaysee's posts. Thanks! Either because I'm an acerbic motherfucker or a little Metallica bitch. Both work for me.
