That's where my mind went as well. Plus they've been doing the intro that mirrors the chorus. It would all sound great. I'd be happy, not the greatest song, but it would be a nice addition and people seem to dig it these days.
Edit: WTF? Last played in 2013? And the one with the cool intro was 2004!?!? Where the hell did the years go?

I'd be VERY surprised (and impressed) if they pulled out I Disappear at S&M2

Came back to this board after a long while. Just wanted to post/brag that I will be there Friday night! Middish seats. At least I'm not in nose bleed sections. I'll be close enough to see them good, but bringing binoculars anyways. Taking 3 of my boys with me. Cost around $5k for the entire trip. Once in a lifetime event, so I thought it was worth it.
Boys think for sure there will be at least one brand new song. I'm not so sure. We all created a setlist of twenty two songs. Whoever wins I'll buy them a shirt. My list has a few Lulu songs haha! The boys are worried I'm right.

No. They'll play in an empty venue. I heard Newsted will be there, but when he goes in the back to say hello, they'll have already bailed.

He'll probably make the behind-the-scenes, snagging some sandwiches from catering.

Watching a mobile stream posted on Judas.
Some surprises in the set... it’s sounding great

Setlist seems pretty good. Really excited to hear Day, Halo, Unforgiven 3, and All Within My Hands. Disappointed by a lot of the repeats though. Ktulu over Orion?

The set list was okay. Live, the best sounding/performances were: Ktulu, One, WEIMR. Though those are not my favorites. I'm sad there was no new songs nor Bleeding Me. No Leaf Clover was sonically amazing, but they very noticeably changed the symphonic parts. Ending on Enter Sandman was a huge letdown for me. First Metallica concert Ive been too where there was no encore. When they walked off, that was it. But half the arena stayed for 30 minutes lol. Overall, amazing experience. Would not pay for it again though. NO NEW FUCKING SONGS! Symphony interludes don't count.

What made you think there would be new songs, and why are you so disappointed there wasn’t any?
If they were going to drop songs from the first one, I wish they dropped songs like Memory, Bells, Roam, One, Sandman instead of Bleeding Me, Hero of the Day and The Thing That Should Not Be. But very glad they kept Outlaw and Ktulu and super keen to hear all the new ones in high quality.

Setlist a bit of a letdown, but that was expected. The stage was amazing and it seems like it sounded great too.

I think it was really cool. I'll enjoy it in the theatre for $15. Had I traveled from across the globe and dished out $2000 on hotels, flights, tickets and all that... Yeah...I'd be pretty annoyed with some of the choices, but that's me.
I'm crossing my fingers for a few changes for tomorrow, but I doubt it'll happen.

The show was fun no doubt. Much more so than a regular gig. Just happy to say that i and the kids were there. Coz I don't think there will be another. And as much as I still watch s&m1, this HD and superior version will be the one I watch regularly.

They didn't play Fuel! I will consider that a victory.
I'm also surprised they actually played AWMH acoustic since I was pretty sure that would've been a hot mess with the orchestra, but maybe not? Set seems kind of short though, without the intermissions it's just 16 songs. Also, while I'm happy they didn't do anything dumb like Hardwired, I do kind of wish they'd had one thrasher in the set, like Spit or something. Would've fit just fine.

He's definitely talking about S&M2. A new album with this little ramp-up, promotion time and released in the middle of the tour for the previous album isn't happening. They've got dates lined up in 2020 for Worldwired and they haven't had any time to record a new album since they haven't had large breaks between legs.

A new cover's EP? Maybe all those doodles where a tease? They could have recorded on the road in a mobile studio. I'm not saying it's not the S&M cd, but, these days, bands/artists drop an album unexpectedly, with no promotion, that is the promotion. Anything is possible. 99% it's the S&M2 deal...but there's still that 1% possiblity.

With S&M2 Metallica will have 3 official live CDs in their catalog - Mexico'93, S&M'99 and S&M'19. What's amazing is that will give us 2 live perforemances of such a obscure song as The Outlaw Torn. This is more than hits like Creeping Death, Fade to Black, Seek and Destroy, Four Horsemen, Blackened and many more.
