I’m gonna humbly expect 6 brand new arrangements, and a 20 song set total. I want to be wrong, but I won’t get my hopes up, especially after seeing their sets after the last couple of years. They’ve gone from 5 must plays to about 12. I'm expecting no more than 15 songs because that's been the set length for most of the recent specialty/one-off gigs. This would allow them to cut out most of the Load stuff they'd have to relearn and add in a handful of newer songs to replace them with. I'm expecting Orion to replace Ktulu too, possibly also Unforgiven to be included, if they don't play Unforgiven III instead that is.
I'm not very certain at all Lars won't manage some way to spectacularly mess it up with his... creative approach to tempo since the 90s, though.

I feel it's redundant. Other than the 4 or 5 'always plays' (I left out Bellz earlier) I think they really should play songs they didn't play last time. They have plenty of them that would work better in this situation than several they played last time. I hope they don't force too much of their HW songs in, although I fear that will be the case. I really doubt this will be the perfect set, yet again, for doing something with an orchestra. Put that album promo shit aside and do it right ffs. |

Does that mean they won't be doing older songs like Orion etc, only songs off the albums they made since the first S&M concert? I hope not.

Sounds like it. :/ Bummer. Looks like it's mostly just an anniversary celebration, and not going to be an album/home video. They'll just do the stream, then do some post production on it and put it on youtube. Wasted opportunity for something better, not a lot of thought being put into this.
And honestly, do you really expect this repeat to be better than the first? All they are setting this up for is to be compared, and the chances of them pulling it off better than the first time aren't great.
