The Legacy presale went badly today...feel for SpiderDan over there (even when things go well I feel for him ha) What happened ? Was interested due to being involved in the Aus one Legacy members get first dibs, followed by 5th member, followed by other CC- type presales Obviously huge demand and not many tix so Legacy hour was over and out real fast with lots of people missing out and upset about codes not working and online carts not doing what they should....website messups. Lots of Legacy peeps then waited for the 5th member sale after confirming their Legacy code would still be valid. But the Ticket agency fucked that bit up so it kinda went to shit once people realised they had lost their chance and now it was a free for all while there appeared to be another party (Stubhub?) buying up and inflating the prices. I stopped following before I saw it get better...not sure how it finished up

I'm a legacy member and when I tried to grab 2 tickets they said they were unavailable, like, gone straight away.

I don't want to be mean, but can you imagine how bad this is going to sound when t's solo time? Kirk playing along with an orchestra??

Hopefully Kirkadon gets his act together and actually practices harder. Lars too. We don't want him upsetting the orchestra with his MICRO-TIMING DEVIATIONS.

None of them other than Rob are at peak performance anymore.

Clover is definitely possible since its been resurrected in recent times.
Hit the lights with an orchestra? Lol, God I hope not. Nothing from KEA works IMO except maybe Horsemen or Phantom Lord.
Wishful thinking... The God That Failed or Misery FFWF instead of Battery Harvester of Sorrow instead of Thing

Yeah, I gotta say that I'm hella excited. And they goddamn better play -Human, it's one of the most underrated Metallica songs ever.
Also, Dream No More? My dick would go through the roof.

-Human is 'underrated' because it is boring. There is no reason to play that slapped together filler ever again, as they haven't. Complete waste of time. They have actual music that has classical influence in it and I hope they focus on that. The original concert had forced Reload stuff in there because that was their tour at the time. I hope they don't force Hardwired (the song) in there. Play Moth and Halo and leave it at that.

I can see only 3 or 4 new additions happening. They are not going to tackle a workload like the Fillmore XXX shows. Doubt they'd even bother relearning something like Suicide and Redemption.
I'm thinking they'll go for the high mileage live songs....
Cyanide The Day that Never Comes Halo on Fire Moth into Flame A quick run through, let them orchestra guys do the heavy lifting

Anything too fast, that is lacking melodic elements, or the more rock/bluesy stuff, comes across as cheesy and James Bondy IMO.
St Anger shortened could work.
As with Metallica's "we don't like to repeat ourselves" stance, I'm sure we'll get something truly special and unique that will lead to years of discussions and posts.

I too think it would be better if they did arrangements for songs not on S&M.

I really only have two wishes for this:
They have to play The Outlaw torn again.
They have to play Orion.

There are the 4 songs they always play, and it's expected they will play those. Puppets, One, Sandman, NEM. Guaranteed they will play those, like it or not. Other than that, I hope it's all songs that they didn't play last time because just seems like a waste to do repeats for this occasion.

I’m gonna humbly expect 6 brand new arrangements, and a 20 song set total. I want to be wrong, but I won’t get my hopes up, especially after seeing their sets after the last couple of years. They’ve gone from 5 must plays to about 12.

Orion will definitely make the cut this time around. They play it so often now that it would be weird if they didn't.

As much as I would like to see it, I'm not so sure.
Besides, the original Orion we all know and love is hard to beat
