The bass is somewhat slightly more noticeable. Like, maybe, a dB louder, and that's only because the instruments are clearer and have better separation. Might be because I spent so much time with the isolated bass that I know what to listen for *shrugs*
The rough mixes are what I'm looking forward to right now.

Exactly, the boxsets could release with the old masters and I would still buy them.
But where from yepsure?
I knew about the anti-Aussie Amazon.com rulings that were put in place (but I tried anyway and yep No delivery to Aus) Amazon canada and a few others don't wanna play here either. And Amazon.au doesn't know what Justice Deluxe box is.
Metstore shipping is nearly US$90 so fuck that.
Where do we go now?
I haven’t checked yet but was really counting on Amazon.ca like we got the last couple from. Are they definitely not shipping here?

There is hope that the rough mixes will have more audible bass before the ego's had an affect.

Already have the RTL and MOP boxsets, so this is a must buy for me, lack of bass be damned.
Just need the Kill em All boxset aswell, to finish off the collection.

There's hardly any difference on the Dyers Eve remaster, even this fanboy knows it.

I'll take my own opinion using my own ears as proof instead of relying on a guy who makes videos of himself "reacting" to shit.

I jumped on to Judas to find out what the Aussies there were planning...looks like a few options, but they all seem a little dodgy forums.metallica.com/t/australian-prices-and-pre-orders-for-justice/25838/9

I have the isolated lossless bass tracks for 5 songs. The songs I don't have bass tracks for are Eye, Harvester, Frayed, and TLITD. If the rough mixes for those 4 songs have bass, there's hope.

As far as I can tell (and I did expect to be let down) no Amazon will ship to us other than the Aussie store (who still have not got it listed)
Really shits me off when you read what countries they do ship to no issue. New Zealand are on the list.
Will check out the Judas thread and see whats being said.
Did you make a pre-order over the weekend at all??

Yeah it’s frustrating. I haven’t pre-ordered anywhere yet.

I see Amazon.au does have a listing of it now but status is Unavailable. And they don't know if or when that will change, so yeah that does not work well for me Someone posted a link to Discrepancy records. I have a good mate that buys from all over the place and have thrown him that link to see if he has purchased from there. As a big collector he might have other options for us, so will let you know if he comes back with something positive.

Got an email back already.
My mate has not used this seller before but he did recognise the name from eBay. I did a little homework and yes they have their own eBay store and feedback looks good enough for me - I've just locked in a set. I didn't use it but I see they also have a 4-part payment plan which I thought was pretty cool. Man, another expensive month and its only the 10th!!

No problem mate, it needed to be sorted otherwise anxiety would kick in
I'm pretty sure I suffer from FOMO (learnt that abbreviation during the last Metallica release)

Am I the only one that thinks the mixing of AJFA is what made it stand out from all the other albums? The guitars were crunchy as all fuck and Lars kicks never sounded better...
I'd still give a listen to a proper mix with bass higher in the mix but it has never ever once bothered me in the slightest.
AJFA is easily Metallicas most heavy metal sounding album. I'm sure that'd probably start a debate on all the albums metal styles but that's how I've always felt.

Am I the only one that thinks the mixing of AJFA is what made it stand out from all the other albums? It sure stands out. As does St. Anger. I just think the songs on ...And Justice for all deserved to have audible bass. Since most of the songs are great they can do without too, but yeah, it's just a shame and anticlimatic that they have to. The bass would have just made them even better and there's no reason why they shouldn't be the best they could be. I think if not Jason then the songs deserve that.

You have to blast the album full volume though to make it sound good, the levels aren't quite right.

Dude, I've never had a problem with how the album sounds either. When AJFA first came out I remember tweaking the EQ when making a cassette from the vinyls and was so happy with how it sounded it is the only time I wrote down the EQ settings and saved. I shit you not, if I went and pulled out my old record that bit of paper will be in the sleeve still. That tape became the go to tape when car-pooling with a workmate from the southern suburbs to the north every morning and arvo. He had a little Fiat with homemade speaker boxes about 2 foot deep/long and we used to rave how great the bass was. He was not even a Metallica fan before that period. With that memory I find it hilarious that 20+ years later everyone has such an issue with how it was produced. Justice is my favourite Metallica album. I wouldn't change a thing.

And, it would be even better, with the bass guitar turned up a bit.
