Croatia beat Russia on penalties. Who would've thought that the top 4 would be not only all-European, but consist of France, Belgium, England and Croatia? Awesome stuff. I just hope France won't win. Nothing against them, but any one of the other three would be so much more fun.

It does suck that my country got stopped by a bunch of taco eaters, then by a bunch of light-calorie Vikings, and then by the country of Starcraft players, but at least the Sub-Frenchmen and the people who LITERALLY INVENTED THE DAMN SPORT are in the final four. I hope that Belgium beats France. I can at least hope Germany's Highway can beat them at least.

Yesterday was also great for us Finns because both Sweden and Russia got beat. If Finland isn't playing, that's the best we can hope for - our neighbors not succeeding!

That vid there is why I don't give much time to soccer. Its pathetic and a world away from good sportsmanlike competition. They should review all these "incidents" and dock them 25% of their wage every time its shown to be a dive or enhanced. That should help things along on the right direction. This crap occurs in Aussie Rules now and then too. Players can now be fined for staging but its the abuse and ridicule they get that tends to sort it out. Anyway, Congrats to the Thailand Soccer Team. By all reports they dug deep and finally came out on top |
